Cracked Front Badge Camera Lens

Took a rock or something that cracked the front badge camera lens on my 2021 Lariat. Imagine I have to replace the entire camera, which I use a lot. Saw the YouTube video on removing the grill but found nothing on camera replacement. Not sure about part #, cost, or if calibration is required. Any help appreciated.

So my Ford dealer said the camera is replaced as a unit, as suspected, then must be calibrated. Cost including labor is $1,025.00 plus tax. Need the truck all day. Parts will have to be ordered but can install next week.

Hmm I'm wondering if they are thinking about the camera on the windshield. Those I know have to be calibrated. The park8ng dosent seem to make since as to why they would need calibration as they are only used for visual parking. The "sonar" sensors give you the tones as you get closer. If I can get to it soon I'll let you know for sure.

Camera cost is about 250 from tasca. MSRP is about 350. You need to calibrate it for the 360 system. I'm not sure if the calibration is available in FORScan. 1k sounds about right. Buy the camera yourself and swap it out then have the dealership do the calibration. You'll save a decent amount.

If you have FDRS you can do calibration yourself.
Swapping out camera with truck powered off you might get lucky not need any calibration. You won't know until you hit the 360 camera button if it is off.

At the cost the dealership quoted you, you could buy the replacement camera, mongoose cable, and a 2-day FDRS subscription and still come out ahead. You'd also be just a battery charger away from being able to perform module updates on your own in the future.

The grille is easy to take off! If the front mounts similar to the rear there should be a retainer pin and one torx style screw holding the camera on. It should be a simple unplug and replace!

Maybe look up videos on people disassembling the badges for custom paint work.

Because it's not going to be the exact same place, and it's a new/different camera.
