Just don't neve never use ryobi...

For light home use Ryobi is fine, if you are using the tools for a living then buy Milwaukee or similar.

I ended up with the Ryobi, 1170 ft/lb for $139 on Black Friday (normally $265). It included a 4ah battery, too.

I'm definitely in the casual shade tree mechanic range, not professional use.

The ryobi brushless tools w/ BF pricing are unbeatable on price/performance for a shared battery setup.
Tools alone, the walmart 12v compact 3/8" impact and compact 20v 1/2" have no equals

This thread is responsible for my cordless impact upgrades as well, so thank you all for making my wallet and my tools lighter. I went brushless Ryobi BF from Home Depot. Got a new compact driver and the compact wrench 600 ft lb p262

it is replacing my bulky porter cable which is way weaker, so im hoping it to be a great upgrade.

I’m in the Makita tool/batteries camp but there were Milwaukee tools I wanted so instead of buying different batteries I did this.
Adapter
They sell them for adapting Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee etc.

I think if depends on what you think the majority of your use will be.

I have the Dewalt 18/20V system and Milwaukee's M12 system.

If you think your work will be more automotive, I would go with Milwaukee. If you think it will be more housework/constructor, I prefer Dewalt.

The reality is both brands will be perfectly fine.

I considered that one, and for that reason, but that's the range (and size) of the airgun I already have. And there will be F-150, as well as many older cars to deal with the lug nuts, so . . .

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I'm coming to like Walmart's HyperTough for cheap fools. Seems to be similar quality at a lower price than harbor freight. (although the hyper tough socket wasn't as tough as the ford oil plug on my wife's van, and gave up one of its sides . . .). I haven't moved onto their power tools (yet).

The top HT impact wrench, tough, is about 300 ftlbs less than the roybi I ordered for $40 more. (I'm assuming we compare the single stated value of Ryobi and such to the lower of the two values that HF and HT state).

but, more importantly . . .

more power tools!

I like the small light weight 12v HT 3/8 impact. Got it for $48 over the weekend. A lot of tool for the $. At this price point I consider the tool disposable and in 5 years if it breaks or the batt is toast, I'll just buy their gen 4 or whatever they're on at the time. Tech keeps advancing and prices of the cheapies keeps falling. I don't have any 12v tools outside of this little thing which I have to admit is pretty handy. Didn't even bother looking for this thing at the time but I might end up with a 2nd 12v tool....

Plus it comes with not one but TWO 10mm !?!
They really know how to put the icing on it

I (honestly) feel like we should have a Hyper Tough thread with recommendations and posts when there are sales. I'd subscribe and buy from it!
