I’ve got the same unit, I’ve used it on various vehicles and it’s been great every time.I've been using this one professionally for over 13 years with no issues. If you can find it on sale, it's a great option.

This type of tool doesn't pull a strong vacuum when coolant is running through it, and it isn't meant for emptying the system. You would use it to pull a strong vacuum on the system and refill it once the system is already empty or mostly empty. You can also use it to pull a slight vacuum on a full system if you want to hold the coolant in while you swap out a coolant temp sensor or small line.Quick question guys: You dont use this to also evacuate (antifreeze) whats in the system do you?
I would think that your best bet without making too much work for yourself is opening the drain at the bottom of the radiator and disconnecting the two coolant hoses at the front of the engine that attach to the lines for the transmission cooler.Whats your suggestion on getting the most out of a 3.5?
