I finished my project tonight. I wanted the paddle shifters to work and look the most factory that I could do with wiring and make it reversible if needed to ever take in for warranty issue. I searched for the connector and thought I found it but I learned that if one is gray and one is black that means they are ever so slightly different. So I took a hot knife (razor held over a candle) and trimmed the connector to make it work.

I was not going to spend $200 on a wiring harness that is barely $40 in parts. I spent $37 on enough parts to make multiple of these. I ended up in a trial and error process so out of the 50 terminals I ordered, I am left with 1. Whoops.

At the end of the day this was a fun project to not only work on but learn about some new things like proper wire crimpers and never trust amazon for proper wire gauge. Thought I had 20AWG when in fact after completing the first two trials discovered it was closer to 22-24AWG.

I could have made it a little longer and tucked the factory connector out of the way but I couldn’t really get my hands there AND it was a 100% afterthought.

But now my paddle shifters work!

Do you have a parts list on what is needed? I plan to getting the raptor wheel and my truck does not have the 3 wires built in. I like the way you did it with the adapter rather than poking the wiring.

So again the plugs weren’t perfect fits and needed to be cut but it hasn’t affected the outcome. Here is the parts I ordered.
You would only need one of each of these
2098377-1 / 2098380-1

As far as the rest, I only ordered so many because they were cheap and good thing because I didn’t understand how to crimp them right so I went through a lot. I also ordered a cheap crimper from Amazon. But here’s exactly what I ordered.

Hello,
Does anyone have the steering wheel pin configuration wiring diagram for a >21 f150 502a build, and possibly a raptor?

Looking to add/make a harness to include paddles, sccm is good to go.

thanks in advance

You don't need to make anything. It looks like you already have a heated steering wheel. Just swap your buttons/controls over to the Raptor steering wheel, and plug it in. I have a 2023 502A, and installed the Raptor steering wheel. The paddles work without any modification or FORScan involvement.

Thanks, not worried about the heating loom, just the 16pin loom that has the paddles. My new steering wheel doesn’t have anybwiring and my existing steering wheel doesn’t have paddles, do I can’t transfer that.

Oh I see. I thought you were trying to install the Raptor steering wheel.

I am, but it doesn’t have any wiring, just the barebones wheel. So looking for a wiring diagram to make something work.

On my 2021 with the the console shifter I made the following connections:
Pin 5 at the SCCM connected to pin 5 (gray wire) at the console
Pin 6 at the SCCM connected to pin 14 (green/violet wire) at the console
Pin 7 at the SCCM connected to pin 15 (blue wire) at the console.

Barry It looks as if I have the same harness as you. I tapped into the wires you listed but my paddles are not working. I then followed superfordmans post about using pins 9,11,12. Well you and I dont have wires in some of those slots so I am all messed up and dont know what to do. Any help?

Here is mt harness

It’s been a long time since I messed with this. You can get a plug & play harness from Boosted Grey Goose or eBay.

No. I used the clock spring that came with the truck.
