Man, reading through this thread has me spooked. I have a 2024 KR on order with CCD standard. Didn't want it, but comes with it. My current truck is FX4 so I have never had it. Didnt realize you couldn't put coliovers on it. Now I am thinking about changing my order to add FX4 just to delete CCD.
How do you feel about CCD now?

Meh. I don’t mind the ride quality, but it isn’t leaps and bounds better than FX4 or the non CCD standard 4x4. Ask me again after this weekend and my level gets installed. If all goes well, my opinion will improve.

Heck man…after I posted that I saw on another post you picked one up from a different dealer because your original order was taking forever. Wasn’t sure that one had CCD as well.

That's funny. I literally took it as you knew I bought a CCD truck.

This is probably a stupid question, but how do can I tell if I have CCD? If I have the FX4 package is it safe to assume I don’t have it?

FX4 is an alternative to CCD

And there's no mistaking a CCD damper/shock, since it has a wiring harness plugged into it. ?

My FX4 DOES have scales & CCD. So no, you’re not safe to assume that. ??‍♂

How did that happen?

Would love a picture of your rear shock, because I could never get the configurator to allow for CCD and FX4.

If they could in fact build it, I'm curious which rear shock they used.

I looked at the order guides for 2022 and CCD cannot be ordered with FX4.... and CCD is not offered on 501A.... only on 502A but it still cannot be ordered with FX4 package

Well now that you all this, I am praying- and I’m super hopefully that I’m mixing up my two trucks! I’ll have to dig into this!! Crossing my fingers you’re correct, because the truck I’d like to modify I’m hoping now doesn’t have the CCD!!

Yeah, everyone I know that doesn't want CCD, just adds FX4 because that deletes it. You still have 4x4, but without the FX4 package (which is different shocks, you get thin skid plates, and it sits higher). I have never been impressed with FX4 (don't hate it either), but I typically have gotten it to avoid CCD. Now I have driven my CCD truck 20k miles. It does ride smooth. I can see the appeal. If I were to choose again, I would take FX4 because the availability of suspension mods for the CCD is very limited. If you are fine with a simple level, CCD should work nice for you.
