Very positive comment. Your '22 being virtually flawless while my '22 has been one regret after another really proves that quality on these vehicles is a blind toss up at best. Glad you're enjoying yours!

I should have mentioned with my MY24 F150 - I got the max mileage/years with everything covered extended Ford warranty. No way I would keep this truck and make payments without a warranty to cover everything.

I ordered mine from the dealer, A-Plan CAD$74,000.00 loaded (fortunately grandfathered along with 2.9 APR) while I watched 4 pricing increases over a year!
Factory deleted auto stop start and park assist. Neither a great loss.
I waited a year due to supply chain issues, but it’s been a dream come true. Did have a leak on the sunroof about two months ago which was traced down to a maple seed lodged in the A-pillar drain hole, which was quickly cleared.
Finally have a BC 1.4 which is a huge improvement over the old 1.0
Did have an initial regrets of not being able to get the 5.0L which is built in my city of Windsor, ON, but the 3.5 EB has been remarkably good and very powerful. Sorry your experience doesn’t mirror mine.

I loved my Black/Chrome 2021 Lariat 5.0 501A with moonroof, max tow, bed package so much that at the end of my lease I ordered a Black/Chrome 2024 Lariat 5.0 502A with moonroof, tow, and bed package….

It’s not the quickest by any means (and a couple of noticeable trim improvements over the 2021) but I love the HUD and all of my creature comforts. It just works for me.

I think maybe some of the early Gen14's may have been sad, but they seem to have worked out the quirks. If anything I only see minor annoyances, and more and more recalls/issues seem to be in the software realm. Which of course could also be deadly, so evaluate that.

But overall the 2025 build I have which is a Lariat 302A so far so good, one month in which is nothing of course. But my tranny isn't knocking, hard shifting, in fact the tranny is smooth as silk.

I read so many times, Ford's 10 speed is designed for hard shifts. That is not how it was designed people. Solenoid's going bad , that creates a bad situation for the 10 speed. Not sure if they are field replacable, but it would be nice for those folks that struggle with a transmission that it is clearly "well designed" and in 2025 is shipping like a dream.

Things change people, make sure you are working with up-to-date information.

Well its like marriage "for better or worse"!!!

I will be trading the 2018 5.0L XLT for a 2025 Lariat Powerboost. It will be a build i have went with the anitmatter blue with the blackout package, fx4, 7.2kw pro power, spray in liner, tailgate and bed upgrade as well.

I dont trade often and hope this is something that wont bite me but oh well been divorced too so again "for better or worse" here we go!!!! LMAO

I had a '21 PB, a '23 3.5 and now a '25 3.5 (all Lariats) - the quality of the '23 is better than the '21 and the '25 is really better than the '23. So I would go for it if that is what you want. For me, no way would I do a PB again - just too many problems and in the shop for long periods of time. If you get the black out and sport package you get the under bumper dual exhaust (like the Raptor) - they have decontented some of interior from the '21 and '23 ... but I feel the '25 is finally done with the "post covid" issues. Good luck.
Could you elaborate a little? We just picked up a '21 Lariat 502A. It was a one owner lease with 31,600. It had every option except moonroof and 7.2kW. What would be different because of covid on the '21 & '23? Just curious really. We just got it less than 2 months ago.

Buy the extended warranty if it's in your budget, Led front lights are not cheap !
Does the warranty new come with the LED lighting warranty? I just did a Zeigler warranty on our '21 and had to choose it separate. Might be because it was used.
Is lighting

Nice truck but I hope you don't plan to tow much with it.

You named some heavy options that will hit payload (FX4, spray in liner and bed / tailgate upgrades) to the tune of >150lbs.

Tow a trailer with a mower or john deere side by side and 21' skeeter bass boat. Nothing consistent other than those

Any advice or suggestions or anything about your experience
  • I got the maximum length factory extended warranty through Granger Ford with all the covered options (lights, rental, etc.).
  • I got mine early August 2024, and just hit 35K miles. I am adamant on the maintenance intervals, and did an early 1st oil change around 3K miles. I would rather spend a little extra on PM to ensure no concerns.
  • If you have the Hankook tires, don't expect them to last beyond ~35K miles. Most people recommend the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 as replacements if you don't do a lot of off-road or winter driving.
  • I put on the Ford Performance Lug nuts because I hate the Chrome look against the black wheels. I also ordered a set of the Advanced Locks with an extra key. The Advanced Locks wheel locks are unique in that they are not a star pattern lock, but are conical and much more difficult to cut/steal.
  • I got a Ceramic coating and front window tint. The front windows now match the rear, and the windshield has a UV film on it.
  • I am planning to get a set of winter wheels/tires in 18".

If it is a “build” I’d go with the 5.0.
