Yours is a powerboost with a 8/18 blend date. You are definitely on chip hold. Nobody with a powerboost on that build week has got a built email. They are all just sitting like most powerboosts the past month

Awesome! I missed that information. Maybe there is a little reasoning on how Ford is choosing.

How is ordertrack so far off on the time in status? If it's even close to right then who's trucks are getting out to keep it around 30 days?

I believe a new VVR was generated - The truck came off Chip hold Aug 24th and was sent offsite a few days later. I believe this was to take care of the Bedliner and tonneau cover(?) at some point off site my Activation request was denied and I lost the ability to activate for a couple days. The day before it was to be completed at the off-site, I was able to initiate activation in Ford Pass again. Only to find out today the truck went back on Chip hold.

Well, this keeps getting better. I had finally shipped back in late August. Union Pacific is now reporting that the rail car is out of service due to damage. It is fully loaded with my vehicle still, awaiting repairs. No eta from UP.

I am surprised to see a Ford dealer near me in west Houston getting significant F150 inventory. I thought Ford said they were going to prioritize custom orders over dealer stock. About 3-4 weeks ago, the dealer had almost no trucks on the lot. Then they got about 6 platinums. Those were gone within a week. A week or so ago, they got about 10 Tremors. Driving by last night, they have about 20 F150s on the new truck line. I'll drive by this afternoon to see what trims they have.

So I'm trying to sort a few things out with the chips/modules and tear tag. Someone please correct what I believe is how it works below:

Is it the case that the tear tag populates once all chips/modules are installed and programmed?

Each module has three columns on the module tracker site: module / address / instructions with the address having 2 sets of numbers. If the module and address columns are populated, but the instructions column is blank, does that mean the module hasn't been installed and/or programmed yet?

I have a PB Plat with a blend date of 5 AUG that hasn't changed. I'm assuming it's on chip hold, but haven't been able to confirm yet.

I believe you get a tear tag when you roll down/off the line.
I have yet to see what happens after that when you are missing modules. I am missing a few like 720(instrument panel) and 783(dsp b&o unleashed). I would assume that once those chips are added to the truck they would get populated on the as built page... Not sure if the tear tag or vehicle data changes after that.

Tear tag is a physical sticker in the engine bay or the frame somewhere for techs to reference if you ever had to get something reprogrammed. The other way is how we all have been doing it where you put in the vin and get a list of all the modules. So I believe you get the tear tag code when you have a actual chassis and all that in existence.

The columns is a good question, I have no idea and nobody else really knows how they work specifically either. Only thing I have been going off of is trucks after they blend seem to have 900-1050 modules and if you look at trucks that are shipping or have been delivered they have 1600-1800 lines of modules. Maybe programming adds lines of code when certain features are enabled, no idea really.
I made one comparison of my modules to a very similar almost identical truck that was delivered in the 8/29 thread and using a code comparison tool you could easily see which modules you were missing compared to the finished model truck.

sample truck - heres a link to something I pulled up using fords local search real quick. Its a 3.5 eb Lariat and if you look up the modules, it has 1769 lines for example.

I just got my tear tag today. I also have a bunch of 720 modules and a few 783s. Not sure how that falls into all this. I haven’t been told I’m on chip hold, but I haven’t asked either. Maybe the chip hold is for PB?
