Still waiting on mine. What holds the appliqué to the tailgate? Are you taking it back to the dealer?

Mine is coming up slightly in the upper left edge. What is the tailgate like behind it? If it is the large FORD text I might prefer that with some inserts than the platinum one.

Odd, I was under the impression it was quite involved to actually remove it. Maybe it's just loose but far from "flying off" you know?

I just heard back from my local dealer. I kid you not, they told me this is normal.

Gotta give Ford credit where it's due....they're rather consistent saying "this is normal" haha



My experience with my 2019 was:
Dash is warped: normal
3-3.5qts burned every 4k: normal
Transmission clunking on startup: normal
Pinging: normal
After new transmission at 37k, the clunk was gone but still shifting somewhat hard after 1k adaptive learning: normal

The art of a mechanic is gone. If the computer doesn't say replace this part, the technician is clueless. Hence why my interior on my 2019 was completely ripped-out 3x and took 70 days in the shop to fix. Sad to say, but the truth. I've been much much much happier with my 2021 — hopefully it stays reliable!



Hopefully they take care of your issue bud. Pay all that money for a platinum and hearing normal is worse than nails on a chalkboard.

Ford DID NOT like when I put the videos up on YouTube (I submitted them to my customer care representative) of the water actively dripping in my cab. I received a call to politely remove it andddd I politely declined. But it got their attention and the vehicle started making traction in the shop (on it's 3rd visit at 50 days) and they finally replaced the condenser housing which was cracked. But once I took legal action the lawyer said to remove all videos off line until the case was closed. So I did, I then settled with Ford for keeping my truck for 70days. So it was a NORMAL win I suppose.

Call customer care and open a case even though they'll give you the ol' heave ho...but it's then documented.

Quality Control with Ford must be conducted at the local landfill these days. Lol. Even pre covid it was shady at best. But I hope they fix it correctly and soon.
