Check Engine Light

For months now I will get a CEL. Maybe once a month. I put on the OBD2 scanner and it shows no code. I clear it and it's gone. I also now realize that if I do nothing it goes away after a few starts. Anyone else get this?

When I plugged in the scanner it showed no codes. It just comes and goes. Almost like a loose connection.

IF I understand it correctly - Your scanner can only read to the first level. @Jesse-Infotainment , on the other hand can go a lot deeper. PM your VIN - you will be surprised at the result.

Use Forscan or FDRS.

Lot of plug in scanner tools can't see history correctly on newer vehicles.

This light indicates a problem with the emissions control systems and so not a concern in terms of being able to drive the truck. I have had lights from a weak radiator cap, a failed gas cap, and other minor sensor problems.
