So as some of you may know, I purchased my 2021 Powerboost awhile ago and it came with a 3 inch lift and 35/12.5/R18’s that weigh 69 pounds each. Since I started on the forum it’s given me or more like those tires have killed me in mpg. For example I filled my truck yesterday and I only traveled 200 miles and it went through 3/4 of my tank at 75 miles per hours. I know my speedometer is off 4 so I was actually going 79 to get to 75 and my rpm’s were almost at 2 the entire time. I am going to switch to Toyo Open Country A/T III LT 285/70/R18 127S E1 BSW. Toyo says they weigh 58 pounds each. Do you guys or gals think this will 1 fix my speedometer some and 2 improve my mpg to where I hear a lot of powerboost owners say they get over 20 mpg?

I'm running stock 265/60/18 Hancooks and I'm averaging about 24. I routinely get 26mpg+ in the city. Running 75 (or 79) is not the sweet spot for the powerboost gas mileage. Good luck.

Do you need an E range tire for any reason? I have learned my lesson on previous rigs, if you dont need them for towing or offroad protection, then there isnt really a need to carry around all that extra weight. I would opt for a non-LT tire or maybe a load range C tire, but anything less than a E range tire doesnt seem to be common in that size. Might be worth looking at another tire/size to shave a couple lbs. Keep in mind the OE tire for that 18" wheel is the goodyear territory 275/65r18. Its sub 40lbs.

I don’t know much about ties to be honest. To many people tell me different things. Know it alls. So I come here because all of you have trucks like mine. The only thing I do o o tow my rv that weighs about 7800 pounds and my utility trailer which I weigh down every now and then with a couple thousand pounds. That’s about it

I’m not sure what the stock tires were on the truck. To be honest. This is my first ever Ford. The numbers I was reading on the chart were from the new tires right? So maybe the dealer could adjust my truck to the new tires. I would get the stock A/T tires but I think it would look funny with a 3 inch lift

The VIN Label inside of your driver's door will show you the factory equipped tire and wheel size. Tire Rack.com will lead you to the factory supplied tire brand that would have been first supplied on your truck.

So this what I did. When I bought the truck maybe a few weeks after I learned about forscan. I got the 2 month subscription and I went in and I changed the circumference to the 35’s that I have on my truck. So I was thinking that if I drop down to the 285/75/18. Shouldn’t my speedometer go from what I have in the computer and not the factory tires?

I would look into the Nitto Ridge Grapplers at 305/60/18 in SL load. Sharp AT tire, only weighs 50.6 lbs.

I did but I read that SL tires can only tow 1000 per tire and my rv weighs 7800 pounds

I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my PB and I really think they are killing my mileage. Someone recently mentioned the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrains which are actually "tuned" for Electric vehicles.

They look good and sound like they'd be a perfect fit:

Are your Ridge Grapplers SL or E rated? My recommendation was an SL so that is a difference of almost 20 lbs per tire. Shouldn't be a fuel killer. However, sounds like he needs E rated due to his tow requirements.

Yeah if I didn’t have to tow my RV I would definitely do to SL but I kinda do need a tire that can hold at least 10000 pounds
