I have a 22 F150 Platinum with power folding, puddle lights and camera mirrors. I have an opportunity to buy a set of Tow mirrors with all that mine have as well as electric extend on them. Does anyone have any experience with this, and do I need to change anything with forscan. I also want to know what to do about the inside button for the extending of the mirrors.

JUST finished doing it on my '22 Lariat. There are a number of threads here on this very subject (and I was a participant, asking a LOT of questions!), so a ton of information can be found on this forum with a simple search.

I don't have access to my notes at this moment, but Ford has a part number that is a "kit", and it includes the actual mirrors, the power-extend switch, and the switch bezel/door panel piece that holds the switch.

If you have a Platinum with 360 cameras, BLIS, power fold, puddle lights, etc., there's a good chance that the Tow Mirrors could literally be "plug 'n' play" (mine was!), with no additional special wiring needed.

You’ll need the bezel and the extend switch. in Forscan you will need to enable right and left extend/retract feature and also the running lights in the towing mirrors.. the harness for the switch should already be be there.

I do, where abouts are you located? You're likely pre-wired for them. Just helped with an XLT do the same, but they needed additional wiring.

I live in Ringgold GA, just south of Chattanooga. I have found a set for 600.00. So trying to see if it is something that I can do.

That's unusually cheap for the deluxe ford tow mirrors, but yes, you can do it.

If you could find it and send me a link I would appreciate it, I have had no success at finding the threads.

Thanks

I assume that those are used, because that is an incredibly cheap price.

The Ford part number that I referenced earlier is ML3Z-17696-DA, and includes the full featured Tow Mirrors, as well as the telescoping switch and bezel/trim piece, but it is brand new, and is priced almost 3 times than the one you found.

If you could find it and send me a link I would appreciate it, I have had no success at finding the threads.
Really????? I just put "Tow Mirrors" in the search box, and came up with numerous threads....
Here's just two. There are many more....

To be fair, if you use google advanced with this domain which is arguably beyond most -- it's the only real way to search the forum. Search here kinda does whatever it wants.
