Change oil soon warning

I purchased a new 2024 F-150 3.5 Ecoboost in August. It had 600 service miles on it. Now at approximate 2700 miles the change oil soon warning light appears. Why would this happen?

The oil life monitor also goes off on time. its 1 year or approximately 10k miles. With your truck being a 24 it could have been manufactured right around a year ago as of this post.

You're at 2700 miles change the oil to get rid of all the break in contaminates and reset the oil life monitor. Or reset the oil life monitor and wait till 5-7k miles (not recommended) and change the oil then.

Sounds like a good idea. I just thought it was strange that the warning would come on so early. The man date is actually 5/24.

Yeah not uncommon expecially since its just over a year old now. A side story a family friend got a '24 f150 eariler this year and it had around 400 miles on it. When he got fordpass setup the oil life was already saying something around 25% life left. So yes the monitor also goes off time.

There is also a known issue with the oil life calculation on the 2024 F150. I have a 2024 F150 PB and my oil service notification goes off frequently so I have to reset it and keep track of the miles myself. An OTA fix will hopefully come soon.
