CarPlay has gone stupid.

Hi all,

Yesterday my iPhone and 2021 PB decided to have a fight and now they will not talk to each other. I deleted my phone from the truck and truck from the phone. I then set up a new Bluetooth link between the phone and truck. However I cannot get CarPlay to connect.

Suggestions?

Try connecting with a cable rather than wireless, just to make sure things are working.

Prob have to reset sync.

did you try going to settings / phone list and click on the Carplay circle logo to the right of your phone? (settings in the truck that is )

I had this issue plenty of times with my 2021, and I found a combination of many things helped. Some took multiple tries, sometimes it worked once.
They are:

• Hard Restarting your phone
• Go into your iPhone settings>general>CarPlay>F-150>turn off CarPlay, and turn it back on after 10 or so seconds.
• If you can’t get it at all to try and connect then you could always disconnect the negative battery terminal on your truck.
• The other option I saw was resetting sync which loses your FordPass authorization but it had worked for me.

I had a similar issue. I think I held down the stereo power button and the NEXT SONG or RIGHT arrow button at the same time for a few seconds. It reset the whole radio, no issues connecting after though.
