Cargo Box Light Part # Difference

Looking into ordering/installing cargo box lights, but have been told either one of the below part #'s would work with my '23 Lariat FX4 502A.

Can anyone tell me the difference, if any, in these part #'s below? My research reveals notta except the "E" is a few more $$ than the "F".

Not sure since this is the other part # given from other dealers when checking prices ML3Z-14A411-D.

The "E" and "F" were the only difference when getting quotes. I wasn't sure if the "E" was for newer trucks and the "F" was for older??

Here are all of the part numbers I used to put the factory lights in the bed, also 23 Lariat 502A:

Jumper harness - ML3Z-14A411-F
Jumper harness - ML3Z-14A411-D
Switch - FL3Z-9C888-B
Lamps (2x) - JL3Z-13A756-A

the -F and -D harnesses are left and right. You'll need both

You put in switch too. Did you already have some wiring I have stx and would like the switch too but don't know what all I'd have to do or if it's even possible on stx

Thanks, and yes, those are all the part numbers one dealer quoted me and another dealer quoted me a jumper harness with an "E" instead of "F".

Thanks for the clarification on these for a 23 Lariat 502A.

How was the install? Easy for a shade tree mechanic as myself? Time to install? Easy to program through Forscan?

SUPER easy. Pop out the blank plastic covers, drop the wiring harnesses in the holes. Crawl underneath the truck and plug the harnesses In to the main harness. Go back up top and plug in the lights and switch. Grab forscan and use the easy mode drop down menus to activate. Total time was like 30 minutes, taking it easy.

Micho523, I just got off the phone with a trustworthy parts guy at a home town dealership and he advised the "F" suffix is for trucks with an inverter in the bed, which mine has.

Ordered the parts, now just waiting for delivery. Thanks again for the shared info!

i doubt if it was “older” or “newer” trucks. the light itself has not changed for a solid amount of years now.

You’ll need to crawl under the truck and look for blanked off connectors on the corners of the main harness. If you remind me I can take pictures tomorrow.
