Hello!

I have a 23 f150 5.0 and I just bought my first mod. I got the PMAS CAI and I was wondering if anyone else bought one and knew if the stock box air filter comes out or stays in during the install? Looks like it stays in but I wasn’t 100%. There’s no instructions no info. Just connect and roll

Post photo of CAI. How are we supposed to assist if we can't see what you have? Personally, I think a tune would have been a wiser mod for the stock 5.0. Stock CAI works just fine.

It may not fit. From what I can find on their site, they only offer it for 2015-2019 model years.

There may be some changes to the 2021+ models that could affect fitment?

You are likely correct. The 2021+ 5.0 has a larger throttle body (87mm) whereas the 15-20 engines were a 80 mm throttle body. The old style intake piping is not large enough to fit over the newer throttle body inlet.

I have S&B cold air intake and it fits 15-20 and 21-23 you should be fine.

Does the Cold air induction buy you anything as par as performance Or would you need a AI and a larger exhaust to see performance gains.
