K&N CAI issue

So I went ahead, against my judgment, and ordered K&N intake for my truck. Shipping was super fast and packaging was top notch.

I began to open it up and start piecing it together. When I got around to mounting the filter, it was way too big lol. Filter was in its own box and sealed. Just was the wrong part number from what the instructions show.

Luckily, my local Autozone had the filter that was shown on the instructions. But, I had to go buy it or wait til they answered my email.

Anyone else run into this with K&N ? Thought they had their shit together??

Hopefully the guy who put the package together just grabbed the wrong filter. It will be interesting to see if others had the same luck.

Definitely hope it was a "whoops" moment.

Will they reimburse you for the proper filter you had to buy?

Curious to see how it works for you. I was looking at the Roush CAI if my truck ever gets built, lol

So they never answered my email but I was able to call in and speak with someone. They overnighted me the correct filter. Then a few days later, someone responded to my email with tracking for another filter so I called in and told them I already had a replacement one and they sent me a wrap, tshirt, and some stickers.

Great customer service. That's what you're supposed to do. Glad you got fixed up.
