Build Modification (Color) - Post Order Confirmation

Title says it, Can anyone comment if you are able to successfully execute changes to your order after it s has been confirmed & assigned with VIN ?

Maybe within a certain time restraint before production date?

I am specifically asking about a color change only, my build date is May 20 (tentatively ) Perhaps others on here looking to make alternate changes

My understanding is once the VIN is created no changes can be made. Check with your dealer to confirm as things do change.

I changed my color with about 30 days until my scheduled build. Chip said that was cutting it close but the change went through.

I was told you couldn’t change anything that affected your VIN # after scheduling.

Also, I recall that the two manufacturing plants can't produce all of the colors, so if your VIN is specific to a plant that doesn't have access to the new color, you're out of luck.

Thanks for the replies all, just ordered my vinyl wrap for it.

I changed my color within like 2 weeks of it getting built. Went from silver to white.

Finally got an answer from my dealer. They changed the colour on my order with no issue, from Avalanche to Anti-Matter Blue.

Just cancelled the vinyl wrap, happy to get it switched! My schedule build date changed by 3 days (unsure if this was coincidence or not) I am still 33 days out from week of build.
