Looking for some advice here.
I picked up my new XL, RCSB, 4x4 on Saturday. It was a pretty chaotic and disorganized event. Anyways, When I went to look at the truck. It was made with the optional work surface console. I didn't order this, I don't like this, I don't want this, I have absolutely no use for it. For me it's very aggravating having my elbow raised and 1"-1/2 while resting on a hard plastic edge. The dealer looked into this and confirmed it wasn't on my custom build order. Furthermore, it's not even an option on the XL.
"In certain trims like XLT 301A, XLT 302A, and Lariat 501A, the console work surface is an optional feature that can be added to the vehicle."
I told my dealer that this has to be resolved, and to replace the center seat console with what should be there, the standard cloth surface seat back. His reply was
" there's nothing we can do about this " What ? Really ? Obviously, it's not the dealer's fault that it was installed, But, they should help assist in correcting this issue.
The dealer said that it was up to me to contact Ford and resolve the issue if at all possible.
Soo,.. the question is, Who at Ford to contact ?
Thanks
