Brake issues

Anyone else encounter hard brake pedal feel and creaking brake pedal? I bought a used 2021 F150 XLT with 50k on it. On the test drive I noticed a hard pedal when braking and that the button for the rear camera wasn’t working. The salesmen man promised all would be fixed. I took delivery of the truck once the safety was completed and noted the hard brake pedal immediately and that the rear camera wasn’t fixed. It was also making a creaking noise from the brake pedal assembly when braking. I dropped it back off at the dealer and it’s been there a month. They are still trying to fix the camera and after trying multiple different parts they say that it’s the IPIM…they also say the brakes are normal and couldn’t replicate the sound. I had the truck for 6 days before they gave me an appointment and it made the noise everyday and brakes like crap. The day I dropped it off I asked for someone to go for a drive with me but they said nobody was available. So frustrated!!!

Sorry to hear the story.
It IS disappointing that these Gen14 technology laden trucks are still, after 3 years, beyond the expertise of most service departments.

I wasn't so surprised late 2020 and much of 2021. There's so much about these trucks that are different than the Gen13. Substantial indeed.

But come on. It's been long enough to get to know the product. This forum is further along than they are.

A hard brake pedal is usually an indication of a failing booster. I agree the camera needs to work , but I would be way more concerned over the hard brake pedal. That is a major safety issue. It's sad that they can't diagnosis computer and electronic issues, but it's downright terrible when they fumble the ball over simple mechanical issues . Good luck with this.
