Bluetooth Dies When F-150 Put Into Reverse

I have had a similar issue.. When the phone is connected via Bluetooth to the truck and I initiate a call, most of the time I don't hear any sound either through the phone or the truck speakers..
I hit the speaker phone button on my phone screen and immediately hit the Bluetooth button and the call moves to the truck speaker..

I have to do this probably 9 out of 10 calls.. Doesn't seem to be an issue when I receive calls..

Same! Thanks for the tip. I've just been unplugging my phone/disconnecting from Android auto and using sync for calls out of frustration.

I just bought a new to me 2022 F150 XLT with 502A package that has 16k miles on it. I came here seeking help on the same issue. If I am on the phone (iPhone) and change to reverse or park I completely lose audio and have to switch off car play. I was hoping to find a fix but sounds like I may just be waiting for a future software update.. I was going to plan to have the dealer look at it as it is still under the factory warranty.

Has anyone found the problem took mines in for this and they can’t find anything all this started when they replaced my radio when it went completely black. And now it’s getting worse everytime I get into reverse. now it randomly does a distorted sound when I’m driving.

Did you try switching to dark mode full time? Some folks on this thread reported it helped their issue.

No I haven’t yet I’m going to try it on my break time also I’m going to try the whole reset of the sync4 aswell

I'm having the same issues. I'll try the dark screen mode & see if it solves until a fix is found
