I have a 2023 F-150 Platinum with the hybrid engine. Recently, I've noticed that if I'm on the phone via the Bluetooth system and I put the pickup into reverse, the Bluetooth call becomes completely garbled and I lose a good signal. This has happened at least a dozen times and I'm just now posting.

Any suggestions?

We've had a few similar reports with Android phones I think.

Disregard that was a static sound when shifting gears.

Same happens on my 2022 Lariat 502A. It didn't used to do this until one of the updates got pushed through, not sure which one though

Hi Steve. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

Ive seemed to fix this in my truck. Disconnect your adnroid from the truck. Remove / forget your truck on your phone. Reset your sync 4 (factory reset). Then add it back. Its annoying because you have to redo your settings and ford app, but since then ive had no more freezes, static or dropped calls.

^ That's good news, even if it's a bit irritating to have to do so.

It appears to be a glitch with the current (recent) software.

Although anecdotal perhaps, a couple of fellas have reported that changing Sync4 screen to night mode was a work around for them. No more camera freeze and audio stumbling.

Worth a try?

I’ve been having this issue since the last update as well, garbled Bluetooth and random call drops. The. If I switch from truck to phone and back it works, I reset the sync 4 and still happens. Goes into the shop next Monday. It makes my Bluetooth and CarPlay useless. And it was fine before this update

Can confirm switching the screen to night mode fixed my freezing and noise when the cameras activate.

Sorry to hear you will hand your keys/truck over to a mechanic for this.
I'd love to have a big helping of crow if I'm wrong, but they can't fix this.

It’s going in for other things as well. I just added it to see. My trailer module is acting up as well

I have had a similar issue.. When the phone is connected via Bluetooth to the truck and I initiate a call, most of the time I don't hear any sound either through the phone or the truck speakers..
I hit the speaker phone button on my phone screen and immediately hit the Bluetooth button and the call moves to the truck speaker..

I have to do this probably 9 out of 10 calls.. Doesn't seem to be an issue when I receive calls..
