Hi All,

I have had my truck for almost half a year and recently started noticing something when shifting into drive.

So normally (or at least how I remember it), I shift into drive and the truck start rolling forward immediately without touching the gas pedal. Starting a few weeks ago, I noticed that when I shift into drive and release my foot off the brake, the truck will just sit there (like it is still in park). This happens on flat ground (parked on the street) AND when I am parked on a decline (backed into driveay, front of truck facing downhill). When I press the gas, I feel a very slight jerk (like it is shifting), then it acts normal.

Is it normal for the truck to not start rolling down the decline when I put it in drive with my foot off the brake?

Any chance you have activated the auto hold feature?

I did not know that existed. Off the top of your head, do you know how to toggle this setting? I can always search the manual if not

That does sound like the auto hold feature is enabled. IIRC It’s in driver assistance on the 12” screen. There’s a toggle on and off.

okay so confirmed auto hold was set to off. Put the car in D and couldn't recreate the issue at the moment. It seems intermittent

Going to leave this thread up in case any other searchers experience similar issue

Maybe your brakes are sticking just enough to hold it in place

I will admit, I don't pay enough attention to RPMs, but I will going forward when it happens.

As far as temp, I am in Midwest, so this is the first time its been exposed to cold temps (received it in July)
