I made the change a few minutes ago. And saved the image above in my OneDrive with a path statement of Documents/Truck/2022KingRanch/Forscan/dingdongthewitchisdead.jpg

Looking forward to hiding my eyes tomorrow while in adaptive cruise and Lane Centering. (my truck does both with aplomb)
So wait, making this one change will get the camera to stop bothering you about watching the road every 2 seconds?

My uecruise works relatively well, I feel it struggles to stay perfectly centered but it doesn't drive me off the road or anything.

Yes. It only disables Bluecruise from activating Hands-free mode. You don't lose anything but that.

And the iris scanner!

Going on a long interstate trip?
2 minutes with Forscan and you are hands-free again.

I really like hands free. It stays pretty centered and I rarely get bugged about watching the road. It's still a novelty so I use it often.

Thank you for the clarification, very good to know.

I thought you were a fan of BC? Did you sour on it?

Mine was doing the same. This past Sunday, I bought a 2-day license for FDRS to do a CMR update that was pending and I ran an IPMA alignment procedure and the swaying left and right is gone.

I feel like me buying a mongoose cable is inevitable. LOL

I rather enjoy Bluecruise on Bluecruise roads. Which are only available to me when traveling.
90% of my miles are not Bluecruise approved roads, yet they ARE adaptive cruise/lane keeping roads.

So what's the issue with Bluecruise being enabled?
Ford decided to keep that Hands-free iris scanner enabled full time. Although it is 100% directly related to hands-free driving, they don't turn the iris scanner off when the truck is NOT in Hands-free.

So Jesse showed me (us) how to disable the iris scanner! That's what I claim that I have actually done.

It's not cheap, but it's a great tool to have at your disposal.

Good point. I take for granted how few roads are not BC ready because I live in Houston and do 90% free way driving which is BC ready.

Can't forget it cuts out at 81 mph as well. Not all of us are stuck in areas where a bicycle has a non zero chance of being a faster means of transportation.

If I'm driving 80mph+, I wouldn't want BC in charge of my truck anyway. With BC 1.2, then perhaps I'd trust it at a higher speed. The other day I was testing out my BC after calibrating my IPMA, the truck came up to a short stretch of highway that did not have lanes painted on it during a slight curve. It confused the hell out of my truck and right as it started drifting into the lane to the left of mine and I went to grab the wheel, the painted lane dividers came back on and the truck jolted back into the middle of the lane aggressively. It scared the crap out of me.

That's half the fun of using the system. Granted it's more of a thrill ride on winding state highways than it is interstates. I use the systems 95% of the time, or more. I can't think of the last time I was surprised by it's behavior.

I think mine will still engage at 81
It will not engage at 82

But when I monitor my Pids, the speedometer 81 is 80.x in the pcm.

I treat Bluecruise very similar to regular adaptive cruise/lane keeping. I allow it to participate in navigation of the truck. But it's not something that I let go of.

I'm not going to play Queen and clap to the song.
