Bed or receiver mount crane?

Well, its here, so can't complain about delivery delays, since I only ordered it yesterday and in good condition, so there is that. If you've got a 1/2" box end and a piece of scotch tape, assembly is a snap. All nylock nuts, is always nice.

It lifted my 225lbs. with no problem.

Its actually pretty nice.

The cons.

The cable is really stiff and I don't doubt it'll be a problem. I'll probably replace it with a much shorter length of sheathed aircraft cable and it'll be fine. I might still have some laying around somewhere. If not, I'll cut it to a more manageable length and see how that does.

It swivels easily, so you want to be fairly level, left to right.

Is it wiggly? Yep. A shim in the receiver hitch, will take out a good chunk of it. There might be a few other tweaks but for now, since I don't have the tote yet, coolers full of water will have to do.

According to the flow meter on the hose, this is 23.6 gallons of water @ 8.33 = 196.5 + 41 for tools and 10lbs. for the jack, = 247.5 plus whatever the coolers weigh. Another 10? More or less, the same as the tote I'm looking at will weigh full. And being shorter, will be a much easier and safer load than this is.

And no, I wouldn't recommend hooking to the grating. I just did it this time, in this highly controlled, laboratory grade experiment.

These 3 pieces just slip together.

If you needed it more compact, its just 2 bolts to remove the lift arm, from the platform.
