The guy that everyone b*&%ches to at work...
I’m kind of interested in this. I use the bed camera all the time and it’s ok, but it’s definitely lacking in the resolution department. I look forward to your review @Kodiak

Well the camera came today and it is packaged great. The bad news is that the PPF guy is now going to have my truck until Tuesday. :(

I really like the concept, just not the price. I'll wait for feedback, as I'm still intrigued though.

I wonder if somehow the OEM reverse camera would work in the bed camera location? Total guess, but I'd imagine if it was possible, it'd be known by now?
I am not positive, but I think the bed camera is analog, while all the others are digital. Probably why it can only get so good.

I will be returning my camera and requesting a refund.

Installed mine today. Picture is indeed brighter (more high dynamic range?). Resolution seems to be the same. Bed fills the full screen better, but a problem manifests when the view is on the side card. See comparison below:

The side card view is indeed perhaps why the distortion in the factory camera - it fits the long view better.

The deal-breaker for me was the immediate failure. The weather seal did not seem as robust as the factory unit. Perhaps it was a coincidence, but when I took the truck through a wash this is the view I was left with:

No good.

I put the OEM unit back in and the view was restored. Better a darker view than a blue screen.

regardless of the seal quality or if you just got a lemon basically the screen showing the same poor pixelated resolution (whether the camera itself is actually much higher or not) pretty much kills this product at over $200...

Dang, I like that view better and I can live with the side card, but the weather seal has to work. I'll see how mine goes and thanks for the tip about the wash.

Got and installed mine, wasn’t happy with the picture quality.

Called and spoke Geoffrey, offered refund or to wait for an updated unit. Great customer service. Going to give them another chance with the updated unit. Will update here when it comes in.

Did he say what the updated version did? What is being updated?

Minor exterior changes and video gain settings.

I’ll compare both side by side when I get it.

I’ll post a comparison of all three.

Great! I think I will finally get my truck back tomorrow so I should be able to check mine out too. However I am thinking I may not be happy with it and see if I can get the upgraded version too.

I appreciate those doing the testing for the rest of us.

If the quality is near the same I'm baffled how they can feel good charging $200.

Then obviously if it any handle a single car wash, that's worthless.

I'm very curious to see this "updated" version.

I'm happy that the latest OTA update enabled the use while driving but now I get a big black block warning to "Check surroundings for safety" right in the middle of the screen blocking what I want to see. The warnings I see on the images/video's here and on their YouTube channel show the warning to be small type and lower - on both the OEM and their camera. Are there different software updates causing this??
Also, I haven't seen any pictures of what the backup camera looks like in use. My OEM basically blocks exactly where I could possibly see a license plate on the vehicle behind me. This would be extremely beneficial if you needed to capture an image of someone tailgating or road raging.

I do like the better proportions their camera provides and it's a closer-up view of your bed contents. Not too concerned about the side card view since it's capturing most of the bed and you can swipe across the screen to pull up the full screen view if needed. But it's puzzling that with today's technology they (not to mention Ford) can't use a much clearer camera. Amazon sells so many Chinesium parts at much lower prices, maybe I'll try to build one!

I contacted the company yesterday and I am sending mine back. Since I am still waiting for the PPF to be done I never even took it out of the box.

The guy there Geoffrey was great and he did speak about the line being analog and will only support so much bandwidth. There are some tweaks they are doing but it will never look like a digital line. I will probably get another one once they come out with the tweaked version as it does look like a big improvement over OEM. Now OEM is very bad so that may not be saying much, but I did like the look of the pictures of the new camera better than what the truck came with.

Any updates here? Their website just states the product is sold out.
