Well the camera came today and it is packaged great. The bad news is that the PPF guy is now going to have my truck until Tuesday.I’m kind of interested in this. I use the bed camera all the time and it’s ok, but it’s definitely lacking in the resolution department. I look forward to your review @Kodiak
I am not positive, but I think the bed camera is analog, while all the others are digital. Probably why it can only get so good.I really like the concept, just not the price. I'll wait for feedback, as I'm still intrigued though.
I wonder if somehow the OEM reverse camera would work in the bed camera location? Total guess, but I'd imagine if it was possible, it'd be known by now?
regardless of the seal quality or if you just got a lemon basically the screen showing the same poor pixelated resolution (whether the camera itself is actually much higher or not) pretty much kills this product at over $200...I will be returning my camera and requesting a refund.
Installed mine today. Picture is indeed brighter (more high dynamic range?). Resolution seems to be the same. Bed fills the full screen better, but a problem manifests when the view is on the side card. See comparison below:

The side card view is indeed perhaps why the distortion in the factory camera - it fits the long view better.
The deal-breaker for me was the immediate failure. The weather seal did not seem as robust as the factory unit. Perhaps it was a coincidence, but when I took the truck through a wash this is the view I was left with:

No good.
I put the OEM unit back in and the view was restored. Better a darker view than a blue screen.
Dang, I like that view better and I can live with the side card, but the weather seal has to work. I'll see how mine goes and thanks for the tip about the wash.I will be returning my camera and requesting a refund.

Got and installed mine, wasn’t happy with the picture quality.Dang, I like that view better and I can live with the side card, but the weather seal has to work. I'll see how mine goes and thanks for the tip about the wash.
Did he say what the updated version did? What is being updated?Got and installed mine, wasn’t happy with the picture quality.
Called and spoke Geoffrey, offered refund or to wait for an updated unit. Great customer service. Going to give them another chance with the updated unit. Will update here when it comes in.
Minor exterior changes and video gain settings.Did he say what the updated version did? What is being updated?
Great! I think I will finally get my truck back tomorrow so I should be able to check mine out too. However I am thinking I may not be happy with it and see if I can get the upgraded version too.Minor exterior changes and video gain settings.
I’ll compare both side by side when I get it.
I’ll post a comparison of all three.
