Is there a reasonably affordable option to get more bass out of the B&O system?

My wife's old Explorer ST had much more bass and her new 4Runner even has great bass but the F150 just does not compare. Hell, my $300 JBL Boombox sounds miles better than the F150 B&O system.

I don't want an under-seat option as I use the storage space frequently. Sounds Good Stereo has an amazing product for behind the seats but I cannot justify $1,700 for their entry-level system. In my opinion, this is not a $1,700 problem.

I'm not certain if the problem lies with the factory subwoofer itself or if it needs more power but is there a solution in the ~$500 region?

A few owners claim the update they had OTA increased bass. It doesn't even show up for my truck so can't confirm that myself. ?‍♂

You'd need one or 2 slimline subs depending on if you want to move your jack or not and use the room for another sub. Remove the sub, tap its speaker signal and connect it up to an LC2i to alleviate bass rolloff / get an RCA signal that doesn't roll off w/ volume. Create your own sub hole block off means (could be 3D printed plate, self adhesive foam, a thick sound deadening material like dynamat, etc as the factory sub is vented outside of the cab pretty simple to do .

Get an amp power wiring kit appropriate for your slimline sub/s. A few choices out there depending on what you're wanting.

You may be able to fit 2 of them w/out moving the jack, I don't have the factory B&O amp any longer to measure the room available. Fold down the seat and take measurements. If you have the rear opening window changes the variables a little bit as well. I do and have a custom sealed box with dual 10s (only fits slimline subs). Might be more work than you want to do in regards to replacing the factory amp. It powers everything including the center channel, but it does not power the tweeters. The amp has an A2B digital feed and is referred to as the "DSP". The so called "IPC" speaker is in the middle of the dash behind the screen.
