Resetting the battery sensor (BMS) will tell the truck’s computer that it is a new battery and thus charge differently than it was doing with the old battery. The BMS will learn the new battery‘s state of charge sitting locked overnight but if you don’t follow the procedure of flashing the headlights and the brake pedal pushes as published it will still think it’s an old battery. If the procedure doesn’t work at first, give it til morning then try and it’ll probably work as published then.
