Auto fold tow mirrors not opening completely

Had this happen three times now in the past few weeks, twice today.

Today the driver's side mirror did not open all the way. Unlocked the truck to leave work this evening, and the driver side mirror stopped at about 25% open. Locked the truck, they folded in. Unlocked again, and driver side mirror opened about 90% of the way.

The two mirrors also fold in and out at different speeds (have the entire 5 weeks I've had the truck). The passenger side opens and closes faster than the driver side.

Anyone else had this happen? If so, what was the cause or fix?

I've got an appointment at the dealership on Tuesday to have them check it out, but the more info I have going in, the better. Or if there is something I can do without having them in there messing around, would be preferable. Thanks!

32,000 miles of flawless mirror folding. Folded and extended and retracted at speed and have the auto-fold setting turned on. No issues.

Sounds like a trip to the dealer was the right call.

I dont have my truck yet, I have max tow with tow mirrors coming my way. I saw this video on YouTube about resetting the mirrors. I know its older and not our model, but maybe it will work?

Tried this resync process today. Instructions for doing so are actually in the manual.

Never heard the "audible pop" that supposedly happens when they re engage, but did the process twice. Will see what happens. Hopefully it's fixed now, and won't need to go back to the dealership.

Did you ever find out the problem or how to resolve it? My driver's side mirror has had this exact same problem since I bought it new over a year ago. I've had it to the dealer twice where they replaced and mirror and "reprogramed" the truck but it still opens slower than the passenger mirror and still gets stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, mine has only done it once since. Didn't take it in at the time, as I found the info on how to "reprogram" above, and gave it a shot. The service department was acting like they would need to keep it for a couple of days to figure it out, and couldn't justify not having my truck that long.

In terms of the opening/closing speed, they are not supposed to be synchronized (read in the manual). Don't know why though.

My drivers side stops part way occasionally. I hit the retract button and then hit it again right away and it opens completely.
