August drivetrain code update?

My 2024 F150 (RCSB, 5.0 engine, 1,600 miles) recently started to shift and drive way better. The 1st to 3rd skip shift is almost seamless now, general power delivery and up/ down shifts are way smoother now.

I suspect my truck received a code update - Does any know of a location where over the air code updates are listed? I’m wondering what Ford released to have such a positive change in driving behavior.

On one hand that suck for those with custom tunes, on the other hand it absolutely transformed the way my truck drives!

I’m very surprised that Ford delivered this new truck (2024 model) with the original tune it had.

I was just telling a friend that my truck is shifting much better than a couple weeks ago and was wondering if it was because it hit 5k miles and there was different programming after a certain number of miles. Good to know that there was an update and not just my over active imagination.

Whipple tunes are not wiped out by these ota updates, are they?

Well the plot thickens… I posted my VIN in the lookup thread referenced above and it turns out my truck has not received a PCM update.

I’ve been bitching about how bad my truck shifts since it got it with 9 miles on the odometer.
I received the notification that an OTA update was pending about a week ago, then the next day it drives like a totally different vehicle!
