I’ve owned two Powerboosts and neither had an issue. I decided to trade, regretted it and have another Powerboost on order.

I was worried about longevity and potential issues that actually never arose for me. Reading about legitimate issues for some on here scared me away. Now I’m going back and figure I’ll just deal with anything that arises.

The generator is what I want. I’m not a mileage chaser and could care less about the electric driving.

Dont get me wrong I love my truck and I wouldn’t get anything but a ford anyway. I love my PB and actually find the self driving very good and incredibly useful for trips. I use it literally everyday and it’s especially nice on 2+ hour drives which I tend to do relatively often. The reason I got the PB was for the added power, mpg and extra power in the bed. That being said I only really need the extra power to tow once a year generally and the power in the bed doesn’t get used much at all except to vacuum out my truck. The mpg is nice but if I can get by with the normal 3.5 then is it really worth it? I’m not too sure honestly. I was just talking to my father about this, his 2011 3.5 had its own issues but being the first year for that engine I would imagine the new ones don’t have problems with the coils. But he’s also now dealing with a trans problem where it doesn’t like to shift so??‍♂
