To all those that used this kit to install new dif covers, did you torque to 33 ft. lbs or 24 like ARP recommends? You may have reused the factory bolts. Did they like going to 33 ft. lbs? Thanks in advance for your replies.

After breaking off one of the bolts that came with the Ford motorsports cover, I bought a set of the ARP bolts.

I did reuse the three factory studs to retain the wiring harness. The ARP bolts, snug and then a 16th of a turn.

I used the LubeLocker gasket, installed it with just a few dabs of Permatex to retain it on the cover. No sealant on the differential housing side. It has been completely dry since installation

Did you also use the supplied washers? Thanks

I did….. and I installed them dry. I have known a few people who put them in with blue thread locker.

Had I used a standard gasket I probably would have put a small amount of RTV on the bolt threads

Installed this morning. No issues with ARP bolts. Torqued accordingly.

I replaced mine with some bolts recommended on a few amazon reviews.... one bolt stretched at about 22 ft lbs... was able to get it out before it broke. Definitely don't follow the reviews on amazon!

The sight glass was a good suggestion:

Looks good. I too did the same thing but I did a test on them and three failed and decided to purchase the ARP bolts. All torqued to 33 ft. lbs. with no issues.
