I installed my Spicer diff cover a couple months ago and hadn't read enough on this forum about the how the bolts supplied with the the kit were garbage. I snapped the first one I tried to torque down and so I spent the next 45 minutes searching for my Easy-Out.

Other than that little mishap I was super happy with the kit along with Lubelocker gasket and the recommendation for the sight glass from @FaaWrenchBndr

Total cost for the entire project (including 5 quarts of synthetic Valvoline gear oil) was around $240 since there were some sales and coupons available. Next service will only take me five minutes, which is the only reason I did this mod.

Right there with you. I had one break as well. I was lucky and was able to get it out with plyers. I did have to remove half the bolts to get the cover off

For those that want extra bling, or just want higher quality hardware, ARP 437-3002.
Torque is 32 lbs ft, very similar to stock Ford hardware of 33 lbs ft

Available from Jegs or Summit

So, I am getting ready to change to the Spicer rear diff cover. I received my ARP BOLTS yesterday and was curious if you did use the supplied washers that came in this package. The OEM bolts and the bolts included with the Spicer cover do not have washers. Since all of the bolts (OEM, Spicer and ARP) appear to be the same length, was wondering if the small diffrerence with using the ARP supplied washers should be of any concern...
TIA
