Anyone Willing to Rent a Mongoose Cable?

I have a 2021 F-150. Like many, I’m not getting really any updates. It’s been telling me for weeks it’s going to install Power Up 2.7.3. Which I think it’s pretty far behind.

I’ve had it at the dealer and pleaded with them to install all the updates, but they would not and said Ford wouldn’t authorize it.

So my question is, would anyone that has a Mongoose cable be willing to rent it to me for a week or so? I can’t justify the $600 for something I think Ford should be responsible for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Look in post 4 above by rugedraw for the link to a very active rental thread he created at a great price (basically just shipping costs). rugedraw is still sending them out for “rent”—he’s lended out a few cables he bought to probably over a hundred people now. See post 1 in that link for his instructions and post in that thread to get on the waiting list. In addition to the cable, you’ll need a 2 day $50 FDRS subscription and a good 20 amp+ power supply and a lot of patience. You might be updating for 10-15 or more straight hours depending on how far behind you are. While waiting for the cable start reading the 16,000 post thread he also links to in his post 1.

Thanks, I shot him a pm. I have been reading about people having to replace physical modules in the truck. Hopefully that’s not the case for me.
