Doesn’t appear to be a genuine part, but the price is right. Anyone have any experience with one of these?

Saw those last week, definitely a Chinese knockoff. Plastic is plastic so a good painter should be able to make it work.

Lot of people prefer the STX look. It will probably hold up the same as an OEM grille.

Yes, I get the idea that the STX grill has a better look to it. But have you ever tried to fit knock off parts on a vehicle? The sheet metal doesn't gap correctly, the plastic parts are made of cheap plastic and don't clip in correctly. It's just a nightmare. And if you can afford an 80k 2023 truck why would you not just purchase a factory grill?

These started to pop up right after ford switched to a new design. I have a suspicion these may be made from factory molds or suppliers. All styles are being made. The limited clones appear to be missing chrome overlays which means they don't sit as flush to the front of the vehicle as the actual limited units w/ chrome overlays.

Having just been in the grille these appear strikingly similar to factory parts so while they might not be branded ford, they appear to be using nearly identical molds. Doesn't mean they're the same materials but to be honest, the factory grilles aren't a premium product. They're quite disappointing in all honesty.

I have one of the Chinese knockoffs on my XL. I went for the chrome XLT style since it was the grille that I personally like the most on our generation. Quality seemed just as good as my stock XL grille and it’s held up great over 85k miles so far. Nor chips or peeling chrome. And like you I figured for the price I can go through several of these (since wildlife seems to like the front of my vehicles) for the price of a genuine Ford part

Go for it I see no reason not to the Chinese copy good and at $400 I’d say this is a quality copy just check sellers feedback

I recently bought a knockoff Stx grille. I test fit the grille with no problems and it is now at the paint shop. It appears to be as good of quality as oem at half the price. I’ll post pics once it done.

It's not the early 2000s anymore, a lot of these eBay or Amazon parts are on par with factory parts. There's nothing at all unique or high quality about a Ford grill, and it's easily replicated by any shop set up to make plastic molded parts.

I ran a lot of (non-essential) parts from Amazon on my Gladiator, the previous F150, and even my Range Rover Sport.

I'd swear there were many parts you would swear came from the same factory, only discounted 50% from ordering from the dealer.

Now, I wouldn't buy a no-name, off brand injector, or wheel bearing, or anything else that would cause my vehicle to fly off the roadway while I have my kids in the back. But a grill? Yeah, I'll take my chances with the Amazon part. If it sucks right out of the package, I'll return it and I'm out $0.00 and I'll find another vendor.
