I've owned 4 gen 13 trucks, have had my 2021 for 2 weeks now and being in Midwest I leave my wipers up over night for easy scraping and prevent ice build up...

Either the passenger wiper was too big out of factory or they moved antenna mast closer to wiper region but every time I put it down it smacks the antenna. I laugh cause I daily my 2021 and bounce between this and a 2019 Raptor when needed and never have this issue on my 2019...

Waiting to see this as a TSB as well

Careful leaving wipers up over night - the springs/arms aren't designed to be up like that for an extended time and can be vulnerable. I've seen wiper arm damage from high winds, etc.

Here's a thought: The wipers just need to be slightly "off" the glass, right?

Try this: Grab two corks (like from wine bottles ~~ you do drink wine once in a while, right>?), then,

Lift each wiper slightly and wedge the cork under the arm just enough to raise the rubber blade off the glass...

I prefer champagne corks ? (they're a little thicker and stubby).

This works for freezing conditions, as well as super-heated windshields.

Plus if you lose a cork, you'll just have to have another bottle of wine... ?

Too much time waiting on my Rapid Red SuperCrew Hybrid 6-1/2

That's a great idea! Never though about using a cork for that. Would have come in handy a week ago and now it's like 60 degrees here. For whatever reason you post reminds me of these guys.....

Grew up in the Mountains of Idaho.
Always warmed car up if ice on the windshield.
After a few minutes, the ice under the wipers thaws enough to free the blades.
this gave me time to sweep the snow off, and scrape some off the doors and rear glass.
Not sure that Ive ever used a scraper on the windshield--just the doors and a little off the rear.

I dunno why, but this reminded me of the old SNL Corksoakers skit. :) You know, a good Corksoaker is born, not made. Great idea, but my immature sense of humor got the better of me.

Yep. That was one of the first things I noticed way back when I took delivery.

I bought a windshield cover off amazon for my truck this year and it works great. Straps over the mirrors, a strap to the wheel and flaps that the doors close on. I used it whenever there's a chance of snow or ice.

I've been seeing these a lot recently in the lot at my train station. Seems like a great idea - I was genuinely curious:
A) How well they really work
B) How most aren't stolen during the day

"B" may just be a Philly thing...

Mine was parked in my driveway so I don't worry about it getting stolen. Mine worked great, I'd remote start my truck and after a couple minutes I'd go out and scrape my windows if they needed it and then take the cover off. Just make sure get one that fits your truck.
