Ok, I pulled the trigger and purchased the Hellwig, i agree completely, overpriced but I used some credit card points to help out. Finished the install earlier this evening. Install wasn’t too bad, took longer than expected. The hardest part was maneuvering underneath the vehicle (did not use a lift or jack stands) and turning dark. I have only gone for a short drive and wow, I’m some what blown away. It feels awesome. Pretty much corrected everything I didn’t like with the ride. Not only did it help with the body roll but it also feels like it’s putting the power to the ground better. I had 2 inch rear drop shackles installed when I first got the truck and I’ve always felt like it caused a slight rocking feeling from front to back as I drove down the road. That feeling is non-existent now. Anyone on the fence with this mod, go for it! Totally worth it. My truck is a street truck and will probably never go off-road, I can see how this would not be ideal for off-road driving.

I'm tempted to just pull the trigger and buy the Hellwig. What's kept me on the fence is that Steeda said that they might have a 2wd bar for sale "sometime soon", and their price is (currently) quite a bit cheaper than the Hellwig.

Also, I vaguely remember someone saying that there are 3 major brands of sway bars? What's the other major brand(s)? My Google search has found a bunch of other brands, but they all seem to be advertized solely on their own website, with very few being mentioned by any other site. That doesn't necessarily indicate their quality (or lack thereof), but it does seem to speak to relative popularity, if nobody else is willing to sell their products.

From what I’ve seen, you’ve got Hellwig, Belltech and steeda as the top brands.

Used Hellwigs on my recent Rams, I used a different grease then they sent, never heard a peep.

That does look like a nice setup. Is that your garage floor? If so, what is it and how do you like it?

Some components return their Payload consumption investment back in Payload management prowess. Exponentially even.

Suspension upgrades can be the crown jewels of such ROI.

Half ton trucks are notorious for being able to carry a Payload that they can't do so with poise. Especially configured as they are from the manufacturer. Let's just say they don't come with the heavy duty truck's advantage of customer tolerance for ride characteristics. :)

If you are thoughtful, you can find a nice balance between the much better ride of an F150, but some increase in chassis composure under load.

On this current 157" Powerboost, I am very happy with the empty ride after adding the Sway Bar and RAS to the leafpak. If I didn't have CCD, I would have also thrown on some improved shocks/dampers on all 4 corners.

Admittedly I still haven't stressed the truck's chassis with a heavy load yet, but even empty it is so obvious how much better the chassis dynamics are. Especially over road irregularities and cornering.

These are such a nice trucks to start with. :)
I plan to copy everything Snakebitten does (with the exception of living out of an RV full-time), so I have a Steeda sway bar sitting in my garage right now waiting for me to install it Saturday. I waited about two weeks to get mine, and I see the Steeda sway bar is on backorder again.

This is very reassuring to hear as many have testified. Thank you for the update.

I have (had) a Hellwig on my 2019 since new (31K) suddenly I developed a thumping noise going over certain uneven bumps ect----could not figure it out for weeks! finally took the sway bar off after checking everything under the sun including putting on some nice bilstein 5100 rear shocks! The sway bar was making the noise---Im guessing my bushings have gotten hard and I need new ones--Oh well its nice and quite now lol

thanks! I haven’t ever even heard of Belltech; that didn’t come up when I was searching for other brands. I’ll look into it further.

Question
I’m thinking of a rear sway bar, but I’ve got AirLyft bags on the rear already.
Will one negate the other?

It's overpriced or I would buy it. It costs twice as much as it should. It's just a bar and brackets.

Do you mean "Air Lift" or is "AirLyft" a different brand name product (please provide link)?

The use of both bags (to reduce 'sag' when loaded) and bars (to increase roll resistance) is not incompatible as long as the vehicle-specific axle mounting points / hardware do not conflict. Bags with independent fill for each side (not cross-connected) offer some slight degree of increased roll resistance but not approaching what a bar provides.

Some bag systems use lower mounts on the axle which may conflict with bar mounting points. Verifying that potential hardware conflict requires looking at the equipment / application specifics.

My apologies on the spelling, I run a single path system, not independent bags.
