I have a 21 and I have never received an OTA. Mongoose and FDRS. Does it piss me off that I have to pay $50 each time I want to update and i bought a Mongoose? Yes but you are will be dead and buried before Ford cares.
It's not hard but can be time consuming. If I can do it (with a lot of help from people here), anyone can.

I am right with you on this. I have had to do FDRS about 3 times now since since buying my truck in April of '21. However, (knocking on wood) they have started flowing in on their own the last couple of months. Hope it stays that way.

I am in the same boat on updates on my 21. I have been getting updates but they only seem to be the ones that state they are to improve downloads, nothing to actually change anything.

Had the same issue on my 21 PB lariat then this past spring I started getting low 12v battery messages in fordpass, so I went and replaced the batteries with an everstart platinum agm h7 under the hood and a Super Start EXT15 14amp battery under the rear passenger seat, then did a BMS reset and within a few weeks of driving started getting these updates.
I'm up to 6.8.0 as of this weekend

Glad you are getting updates. 6.8.0 came out in Dec. 2023, so hopefully you keep getting them because there are a lot of updates since then... Good luck...

Yeah I did some longer drives through Cape Cod and was visiting family on Martha's Vineyard, which may have also had better AT&T cell service than where I usually drive around South shore of MA. 6.8.0 came down less than a day after 6.5.0 did lol
