Interesting. That I did not know.
Yeah, it's my truck but I have to get permission from the owner (me) to get owner email address and submit request for access code. I get the code sent to my email address but no matter what I did I couldn't get the website to accept the code. Kept getting weird error message. Could be because I accidentally setup my Motorcraft account under same email address as my Ford account. Can't change it with the unified Ford website login.

Well, that blows. I probably would have done the same thing with the email addresses.

I got my truck back a few weeks ago with the replaced and "updated" APIM. When I got it back, I immediately noticed that it was actually much older revision of Sync than what was on the one they replaced. Called them and they were confused and said that when they look it up by VIN it says my truck is on a way newer than it actually is. I even physically read off the version that is on it and they are just dumbfounded. Any clue on what the discrepancy is here? Is what is being reported what was being reported from my last APIM and not the new one? If I try to update this APIM myself, will this discrepancy interfere with me updating it?

What version are you on?
FDRS reads directly off the truck so as far as I know it should update correctly if you are past the "broken" updates.

Others here should know more about it.
