Affirmative. I haven't tried a force stop, clearing data and cache, uninstall then an install. I'll give that a whirl right quick. For grins. :)

Hmm, got a crash toast notice as soon as I started it after the above process. :(

I DLed the latest greatest and got further. I was able to install and run the program.
I went to add my truck (via VIN entry and it said something like "Cannot retrieve vehicle information" or something like that and closed out again.
When I try to restart again, it keep closing and giving me log files.

Can you create a bug report on github and upload one of the logfiles?

Uploaded version 2023.08.20 to GitHub and Play Store. This is a bugfix for a crash when opening the app. It's a bit weird since I can't reproduce the bug itself and I don't think everyone is encountering it.

GitHub users: If you don't see a notification in the next few hours, try rebooting your phone and then give it an hour. If you still don't see it, you may need to manually sideload again.

Uploaded version 2023.10.08 to GitHub and Play Store. This update disables the remote start/stop, lock/unlock, and force updates, because as someone pointed out to me Ford changed the API again to deactivate these features. The app will save your current settings if you are using these, in the hope that when the public API goes online "sometime soon*" they can be automatically re-enabled for you. I mainly wanted to remove them to prevent users from poking at forbidden API calls and possibly angering the servers into locking someone out.

It's much worse that I realized. Ford has also shut down the old API for the vehicle status, which breaks the entire app. We may need to wait for the public API to go live.

I haven't posted in a while as I put app development on pause while waiting for the public API to drop. And it hasn't.... so I'm working on getting the app working with just the new FordPass API. I'm relying on work done by the FordPass Home Assistant team but the JSON information returned in the new FP API is very different, and I've only got my Mach-E to gather data from. I could use some help with data from ICE (gas and diesel), hybrid, and PHEV owners.

I created a new issue on Github for anyone who wants to help. You can download a new copy of the app from there, and follow the instructions to grab a log file to submit. You will need to already have the GitHub version of the app installed with your vehicle shown in the "Manage Vehicles" activity for it to work, since it's still not pulling vehicle information from your FordPass acccount.

Interesting. So there is still a potential alternate option to get the widgets working again. Appears to be a complete rebuild however. I’m also assuming if the alternate method with Android is possible, iOS is as well.

Either way, good luck. You guys that do this are awesome.

Yes, I was hoping to avoid spending the extra effort to get everything working with their API if the public one was going to be released soon, but it's becoming obvious this is soon like tHe Summer 2023 BlueCruise 1.3 OTA.

I'm testing out the next GitHub release for the rest of today. With any luck it will be pushed tomorrow. Be advised you will need to log in using your FordPass credentials since none of the previous authentication tokens will be valid. ?

Incoming... let's see how this goes. Remember, only the GitHub version. If it seems stable I'll push a Play Store version. Please report anything you find incorrect or odd.
