I download it from Github. Found I had to uninstall version .20 first, then install version .21. Works great now. Sometimes when I do a manual refresh, I have to refresh Ford Pass first. Otherwise the widget doesn't update. Is this the norm?

IF the widget is ignoring a manual refresh, it will display a toast message first. The algorithm is you can refresh five times within a 24 hour period, with a minimum of 2 minutes between the first three refreshes and 10 minutes between the fourth/fifth refreshes. The LVB must also be reporting a "good" status for any refresh.

I was in a similar boat until this latest version. There is a new refresh option that you have to enable in settings, then a new refresh icon appears on the widget. This, from what I understand should accomplish the same thing as a Ford pass app refresh. The old refresh didn't prompt an actual refresh from the truck, it just got the latest server info, correct me if I'm wrong @kennelh

That's correct. When you turn on "Enable forced refresh", you'll see the yellow "reload" icon at the corner of the vehicle's image. A double-tap forces the refresh.

That's the same issue I have had forever. The Ford app doesn't update consistently. Sometimes it updates by itself every hour or so and sometimes it goes hours or days before refreshing. If I can't get the Ford app to function, the widget doesn't really work for me. :(

My fordpass will do it on demand, but otherwise it only seems to update when I use the truck and shortly after I turn it off.

Off-topic (sort of): I started this and got sidetracked so never posted here. If you have a minute (and don't mind going to a site which doesn't support https :/ ) I wanted to get a feel for how the app is being used. The poll is open until 6/22 and I'll post results at the conclusion.
Final results are here. Thanks to everyone who responded.

@tonesto7 discovered that Ford changed their login authentication process, which means you cannot log into your account from the widget. Token refreshes and status accesses still work. Just to be safe, save your settings so in case something should happen, you can restore to get the current tokens back.

A quick progress update. Smart folks with the Fordpass Home Assistant Integration project figured out a workaround and supplied some Python code which demonstrated the process. I've finally been able to code something that works in Java but I don't feel it's reliable yet. However, not being able to log in is 100% reliable in the current release, so I'll probably just clean it up a bit and push it out.

Version 2022.07.01 just uploaded. Note that the only change was the new log-in authentication; you only need to update if you were not able to log in since last Monday.

Quick question; anyone using the widget with a Raptor? I'm making some changes to the images and the one I have for the Raptor doesn't seem to resemble the current body style.

I know this has no bearing on your question but I am using it with my Roush...

When I set up the widget for the F-150, I found four variants images: a regular cab, a supercab, a supercrew, and this Raptor SVT. Wikipedia says this is actually the 2010-2014 version of the Raptor. I'm assuming the current generation would be closer to a supercrew?
