Dang, sorry to hear! What was your "original" build week?

Same boat here, original build week 12/20, now 1/10/22. Not on a holiday week COULD be a plus - it was mentioned that perhaps the factory workers would possibly be more focused on the task at hand when Christmas isn't a few days away.

That was the case when I used to work in a car factory.

I see in your vehicle profile you are going from a 3.5 to a 5.0. Can I ask what influenced the decision?

Long story short - 4WD and Whipple. :)

I've gone nearly as far as possible with my current truck, performance wise, and I just want more. I also feel like I made a grievous error going with 2WD, considering my goal is go-fast. I destroy basically everyone on the highway, but from a dig all I destroy is my tires.

Sounds like my old 2nd gen lightning. Not as fast back then but it would eat tires. 2 at a time! Lot of fun though.

damn... looks like cancelling my order with that build week caused Ford's ordering system to screw up and mess up everyone's build that week.. ;)

You're lucky you even got notifications. Most of us got no notice on any delays spanning 6-7 months. Good luck!

Yup! Ordered in July and other than emailing the dealer for updates, I got nothing.

After months or rescheduling I finally get a confirmed build date, and supply chain issues strike again and it looks like a few more days delay until I get my vehicle.

Such is life.

Edit: lol, how naive I was back then. Still waiting for my truck to finish production. On chip hold it seems for a while longer. Blend of 12/08, and still stuck in production waiting for a chip of some kind.

what did you end up for a personal best for your 3.5? Most Whipple 5.0’s won’t be a lot faster than say an E50 3.5 - trust me, I’m going from a tuned 2020 3.5 to a 2022 5.0 Whipple.

Best 0-60 is 5.48. I'm sure my 1/4 mile wouldn't gain much (I haven't been able to get a true 1/4, or make it to a track at all), as once I can control the wheel spin, I'm plenty fast. But, my current 2WD with 4.10 gears creates a LOT of wheel spin if I'm not super careful. I'm stuck with 93 in the tank, though even if I was able to do E50, I'd just be creating MORE wheel spin...

I also plan on doing the Whipple, swapping my current exhaust to the new truck, and being done other than cosmetic stuff, wheels, and tires. I need to quit this current never-ending (though awesome) 3.5 build!
