I had a 302a XLT and now a 501a Lariat, both with the 360 cameras, and neither seems to have the front parking sensors nor does the camera come on when pulling up to something. I don’t even get the audible tone from the parking sensors, so I assumed neither truck had them… am I crazy?

If you don't have the sensors in the bumper. You will not get the beeping

Did either have the Copilot assist 2.0 packages? Lariat 501A would have to be ordered PLUS you would need the CoPilot Assist 2.0 to have the forward sensing system. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s how you get the sensors for the front.

I have a fully update Job 1 2021, and my front camera turns on when my front sensors turn on, and always has done so as far as I can remember.

After receiving the 3.5.2 Sync update 2 days ago, today was the first time I have ever heard the front sensors beeping and the touch screen automatically switched to the cameras... Is that just a coincidence?

Good question. I have no idea, I would think a coincidence but then again maybe someone else can chime in that would know for sure.

Love these threads. It just have me something to go check though, lol.
This weekend I was pulling my 502A into a space with a light post. Stopped short when the front sensors fired off in order to turn the front cam on to avoid tapping the cement foundation you can’t see. I was thinking why the heck don’t they just switch the cam on automatically. The 360 perspective was there iirc, but object distances aren’t useful for that close work.

Confirmed today my front camera does not come on when the sensors are triggered. Entire touch screen only shows front zone diagram. Job 2 '22

Ever since I've got my Forscan adapter 2 months ago there has been one CMR DTC which recurs after clearing. Google refers to a thread here for same DTC indicating its the driver nanny camera/led though its the rear camera module. I have never seen an LED come on inside (maybe IR?). I've run the treads diagnostic precedure (except for module self test, not sure how or if I can) and no errors after clearing and a couple cycles of ignition. Front cam still does not come on after clearing with sensors triggered.

HVAC DTC for programming after swapping controller, but should not be relevant I'd think.

Would appreciate any thoughts or insight. All external cams function as do external LEDs when enabling with zone lighting.

@Jesse-Infotainment , any chance you would have some thoughts or suggestions on the front camera not coming on automatically when the front proximity sensors trigger. Currently only get the proximity screen. Front cam works fine when turning on thru the menu or the 360 view.

That would be great if its a quick change I can do in Forescan. Only change I've done so far is to the IPC to enable gauge numbers. Don't think I can take credit for hacking this one lol
