almost traded off HAL for a 24 super duty rapid read KR

let me preface this
my 22 is an unicorn in the covid delete world etc
i have only one covid delete the dreaded auto start stop
i have the 22 speaker B&O and all the apim updates to get trailer turn signal views etc, massage seats, glare free head lights, 4A (awd), sport mode etc
only thing i dont have is the NICE HUD display the superduty and 150 have

the super duty is perfect, it has massage seats and all the nice f150 sync 4 stuff.
but apparently 22s with low miles 22k and no deletes take it in the shorts right now for trade value
nada gets you 49 to 52 but no dealer within 100 mile radius was willing to go above 50, no plus for topper, no plus for all the stuff we paid for that is now just starting to come back, except the BO speaker count
no more head rest speakers..
i am old and i want out of box ready to go, not have to do sound mods
one place told me only old guys want KR, trucks....hmmm i turn 60 this year ?

then to top it off lowest interest even with 826 credit is 6.9
i called many credit unions, ford, truist etc
no way am i paying 7 % or 3500 extra on top of what i borrow
so HAL gets to stay and i enjoy how he rides and drives

its been a tossy turvy last 5 days for sure

Nice truck, looks too dark in the pictures to be Rapid Red, but it is a cloudy day. Looking at the window sticker I was surprised to see a 3.31 ratio axle with a diesel. I would have chosen a 3.73, but that's just me.

i had 3 31 in my 21 f250...with 1k lb of tq it didnt seem to matter but did squeeze 22 mpg at real speeds

there is a f350 at the other dealer, same trims, same options long bed for 350 more dollars and a 3.55.

i am in no rush and if it had been rapid red...i wouldnt have even looked twice

If you are eligible to join Navy Federal Credit Union, you can get 4.09% right now with excellent credit.

~3 months ago (when best rate there were 4.5% ), that's what I secured ... but decided to walk away from the deal for a 2024 F350 Lariat Powerstroke and send the check back to NFCU.

Power Coop Credit Union. You have to either work at a power coop or be related to someone who does. Tiny, one location credit union. They don't have even a single atm.

not his wife not me nobody
she filed restraining order for a divorce , then as he was being served ,
she called in changed his passwords and added herself to the account then cleaned it out
they said she was his spouse and had every right to do it..
i dis agree
cost me 2 house payments and a car payment for him until we got it sorted out.
i had nav fed for years and years..really tweaked me to no end
she had her own account with usaa at the time

imo the whole event this past week is trade values across the board

7% only adds 3500 to the loan,

but at 2 places the appraiser said no one cares what was deleted or added back..
most people only know or believe what they are told and dont do due diligence

i can bet you the lot that does buy my truck, would do the research and as such ask for a higher return

the butter coop my grand child worked at had a company sore like that..great loan rates etc

Did/do they have an actual documented policy that states they will allow a non-member spouse to make changes to the account? I've never seen this.

Or did she commit fraud and you son didn't contact the authorities?

oh yes it got resolved but took weeks and lots of do ra me to straighten out
his divorce cost us over 65k , plus a few nights in a non holiday inn
evil she is , evil she remains,
he had this account long before she ever escaped from hades to ruin his life.

I'm sorry your son had to go through that. Been there done that, unfortunately.

That said, if it was fraud committed by his then wife, I'm not sure how you blame the credit union. They operate under a plethora of both federal and state laws and regulations. As such, their hands are often tied and any 'policies' are in place to remain compliant with same.

No personal details necessary ... just thinking out loud.
