It isnt possible to add Adaptive Cruise to the trucks with Rear cam only. You need the 360 IPMA.
@Jesse-Infotainment , this is incorrect, I proved it otherwise, look at my post from a few days ago. I finally transferred everything to my base, rear cam only IPMA and everything is working just fine like it did with the advanced IPMA

@Twocardshort everything should work just fine with the single reverse camera IPMA you have right now. Again look back at my previous posts and make sure you have the wires going to the correct IPMA connector to start from the front bumper harness connector. From there is does take a few changes for the CCM to get fired up and be recognized.

When I plugged the CCM in and tried to see it in Forscan nothing showed up. I needed to change the following in the IPMA to have it give power and/or relay the CAN bus to/from the CCM:
IPMA706-02-02xx*xxxxxxx--4 previous5 new

is there anyway to translate what the module address is in as built explorer?

I was able to compare the two vins and have it highlight the changes, but I cant seem to find where it labels what these are so that I can match them up in forscan.

Also, whats the difference between the super cheap cables on amazon vs. the still cheap cables with the switch vs something really expensive like the mongoose?

Thanks!

Not that I'm aware of. You pretty much need to have as built explorer and the 21 forscan sheet open side by side, then just work your way through it and see what the differences are, and note the ones that apply to what you're trying to change. Quite the tedious process and I think each one of us had to go through it for the most part, but definitely worth it in the end!

For just Forscan work, just get OBDLink EX and be done with it, love mine and its been working great since I got it. So much easier than my older one with the manual switch.

For FDRS updates you basically need the mongoose. The OBDlink MX should work fine for forscan only but it isn't capable of doing module updates. This spreadsheet includes the module numbers and descriptions of the settings: The key is to look at the differences and then go to the spreadsheet to see what they mean. Otherwise you may mess up something on your truck if you just blindly copy differences. For example ABS 763-03-01 *xxx -- was originally 7 on my truck which from the sheet equates to all options on execpt ACC. My reference truck had a D there which is ACC on but no hill descent control because the reference wasn't FX4. Therefore the correct setting for me was actually F which enabled all the options my truck had on before plus ACC. It took a few days of combing as built explorer to find what differences mattered for ACC and what didn't and also make sure the values I was going to put in were correct.

I can't figure out how to get the link and not have it insert the sheet, so if someone knows how to do that please help. But that's the 2021 forscan sheet we're referring to.

Thanks everyone - is adding the CCM considered a "module update" that requires FDRS?

I'm trying to keep this as budget friendly as possible and all I have accounted for so far is the CCM + Harness + Forscan cable

This is a great thread! I’m looking for a long time to add the 360 cameras to my truck I have a 2021 XLT 302a, for what i have been reading I’ll need the iPMA for 360 cameras, and the wiring but there’s wiring for the mirrors too or they are all included in this harness ML3Z-15K867-NA ?

I will be buying the front camera, and the mirrors, also will be adding the ccm for the ACC.

Nope, adding the CCM and everything else needed can all be done through forscan.

Thanks - that is what I was hoping to hear.

Did you or JaHoova or Jesse take a crack at getting the steering wheel switch installed?

@rand0mus3r I didn't install the switch. Just used the default 3 car setting which has been fine for me so far.

@Efrommel the -NA harness doesn't include anything about mirrors. Nor does it include the front camera. Those are on something else which will require some further research. 15K867 is just the front bumper (air dam, fog lights, front parking sensors if you have them, CCM, and the powerboost pedestrian sounder)

Ok, i I want to add the 360 camera to my XLT 302a I need to get the bumper harness, and the mirrors, but what are the wiring for the mirrors with cameras?
Already got the correct iPMA, and the front camera, just need the bumper harness, CCM and the mirrors with wiring.
