Come to FL. It only takes 5mins.

Thanks, but no thanks!

Love FL in the winter though!

Years back I had the "pleasure" of being in Houston at 95 degrees and 95% humidity. At that point I decided to always live in the Pacific NW!

I didn't understand it (humidity), until I experienced it.

People are forgetting one important factor in increasing the battery size on a PB vehicle. The PB is a non PLUG IN vehicle that any and all energy 1rst has to be generated with the ICE portion of the system. Run out of ICE fuel then PB will only move until it shuts down the Hybrid potion. The PB will remain motionless until more fuel is added to the ICE portion of the system to RECHARGE the hybrid portion. So increasing battery size makes no real change other than adding MORE overall weight to the vehicle thus lowering the vehicles over all efficiency. When Ford determines to increase the PB battery size /range a PLUG IN version is a more feasible solution.

I average 5 to 25 miles per trip and live in a moderately hilly area. On longer trips I can definitely max out the battery charge. I find myself starving the battery all the time also, if I'm trying to be energy conscious and keep it easy on braking and accelerating. For me a larger PB battery would be beneficial. I'm also interested in adding a solar panel, to create a pseudo plug-in-like effect where after sitting in the hot sun for hours, like I do for work, I can start the trip off with a fully charged PB battery for the relatively short trip back home. I'm getting about 21mpg now, I would love to be able to increase that to high 20's. Often for work the truck sits on a ranch and does many small moves throughout the day as we move equipment about, and could see this being nearly 100% battery for low-speed short distance crawls, especially with a slow solar top off.
