I just got my ‘22 502A. Did a few of the vetted Forscan mods successfully. I have an older Vint USB Elm adapter so I was a bit nervous going in to this mod.

I got glare free to show up on the APIM menu, but then I got the service interrupted when doing the IPMA change. I immediately chickened out and put everything back LOL.

I am using Beta Version 2.4.6.

I did not save any profiles, but I didn’t exit all the way out, let Forscan scan everything and try again.

Should I just get a OBDLink adapter coming and quit gambling?

Thanks guys.
If you are already using beta 2.4.6, then yes I would recommend getting a new adapter. The IPMA tends to be a sensitive to the write speed of the adapter.

No need to be nervous about this mod. The only real difference with this one is the number of modules that need changes.

Thanks Robb.

I’m fairly seasoned with Forscan, I was just a little nervous trying a mod that I knew some guys were already having issues with, plus I was using the older adapter. It would be my luck to brick my $70k truck the 2nd day of owning it ?

I’ll get the good adapter coming and try again.

So I had a different adapter laying around. It’s a Tactrix Open Port 2.0 USB adapter. I got it working and noticed right away it was WAY faster in reading and loading the modules than my other ELM adapter was. Like double the speed.

I got the IPMA module to load so I was already further along than I was before, but it gave me the error when trying to write to the 706-01-01 block in the IPMA. Dang. I thought I had it.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I did optimize the speed of both adapters prior to trying any of this. I get ‘excellent’ in the result page.

@swarfworks Which test version did they send you? Thank you.

i use the OBD LINK EX P/N 429101 with forscan it works very well amazon had the best price

i am not aware of a way to automatically tilt the mirrors down when in reverse, although many lincolns had this feature,
it is my understanding the cameras too k the place of the tilt down
in all my vehicles i use setting #3 for when i have the trailer hooked up, i press 3 when i shift into reverse and the mirrors tilt down to help back up
but my 360 cameras in the new truck are freaking great so i havent set this truck to do that

So I got a OBDLinkEX adapter. Updated it to the latest firmware and installed the latest drivers. Optimized the speed in the properties

Also using the absolute latest beta version of Forscan. I even tried the latest full release version.

Still can’t write to the IPMA module, or the HVAC module. :(

That is 3 adapters now I’ve tried.

Sent an email to Forscan support with my logs. We’ll see.

Sorry for the foolish question.
But what do you mean of ccd and onboard scales?
I own 2021 Lariat job2 with 360 cams, short bed (5.5 ft).
I live in Kuwait, so maybe some differences between US and Kuwait trucks.
Thank you i

He is referring to options. CCD is continuously controlled dampening, which is a suspension upgrade/option and onboard scales is another option where the truck will tell you how much weight you have inside it, in your bed and on your hitch.

I think that I don't have each of these features.
Thanks for your help.

An update to my issues. The Forscan team got back to me with a custom version to try. How awesome are they?

After that I was able to write to all the modules I couldn’t write to before, including the IPMA module.

About 2 minutes later I had Glare Free up and running, and working flawlessly.

Such an awesome feature! Thanks Robb!

:beer cheers:

Are you asking about how to get a version of Forscan that allows you to write to all the modules if you are having issues?

Or how to do the glare free changes?
