Seems strange that when adaptive headlights are not legal, the truck is equipped with it. But then exactly when adaptive headlights are likely to be made legal, the truck will have the feature removed?

Nothing makes sense these days. ?

Actually the more I think about it:

The projector head lamps get constant 12v on the high beam circuit from the BCM. A command is sent over the LIN to trigger the high beams and by extension the Glare Free, so there are PCBs (chips) in the current projector lights. Bet that is a delete with the shortage.

I guess us Job 2 folks are going to get screwed. Makes you wonder what else will be missing when the trucks actually arrive. I also assume there will be no downward price adjustment to reflect the feature delete.

Well, sorta, kinda, mostly. the high beam stem now has three steps and one of 'em is GREEN wid A. When I go the lighting page in settings ......it looks stock. None the less, they work when driving. The down side is what ever the frak I did, I have screwed up the auto wipers. They are back to just variable delay. Tomorrow I think I will set everything back to "as built" and see if wipers are back to normal. OBTW....this is my first mod ever! I had problems differentiating between 16 and 32 bit groups and "may" have written crap into the wrong field. Robb1 if you happen to know if auto wipers settings were anywhere in the vicinity of suggested mods. please let me know.

PS....this is on a 2021 gen3 Raptor (I will have to check the build date but it was delivered to the dealer Wednesday the 23rd of Feb 2022)

You jumped in head first if this was your first mod!!! I like the enthusiasm (y)

It should be straight forward to get you squared away. My suggestion is go back to stock on the SCCM module (724) first. Then try to rewrite the change there. There are wiper related settings peppered all through the SCCM.

SCCM
724-04-01 xxx4 xxxx

Only change the “4” ignore everything where the ‘x’ resides.

If that doesn’t work let me know and we will figure it out.

Regarding your wipers ... I remember something similar happening, when I changed the change lane blinker count. It turned OFF the rain sensing setting. Go to SETTINGS, VEHICLE SETTINGS, WIPERS ... and check the RAIN SENSING. It probably got changed to OFF, when ForScan did the Write.

The wipers reset every time you write the IPMA (??) i think. Just go back into the wiper menu and set them back to rain sensing.

I saw it too. Great news! The euro manufacturers are all ready to go with this. Of course Ford will continue to put crappy halogens in the lower trims, out of spite.
yeah, not like they've been more than sufficient for the the past 120 yrs. I dont know how anyone survived.

As good a place as any, maybe, to drop this info in. Looks like this might not work on trucks produced later this year. From the latest Canadian order guide.

Does anyone know the physical way the lights work to keep the light off the other car? Someone said their light calibrate not only left to right, but up and down when they turn the car on. So maybe they are dropping the up and down motion, keeping the side-to-side since they don't mention dropping the "Dynamic Bending Headlamps".

I can't imagine they are just dropping the software control for this.
Is that 4/11/22 Date the actual build date cutoff?

I have an order scheduled for build on 3/21/22. Will that be a job 1 truck no matter what? Or will it end up as a job 2 truck if the build date gets pushed?

Oh man, if it gets pushed and I lose out on glare free I will bang my fists and say bad words.

This is for Canada, so how that relates to the parts being changed for US Job#2 I wouldn't know.

BUT, since 3/21 is the first week of US Job #2, I personally wouldn't count on having it.

Whoops, missed the Canadian order guide part.

That snippet doesn’t appear to be listed under the job 2 updates in the latest US order guide however. Hmm.

According to Ford, no US 2022 F-150 comes with this feature, so no reason to announce its departure in the US order guide.

That’s right! Well dang. I wonder whatever it is they are removing could be added back in.
