I've searched the web and am unable to find anything regarding the adaptive cruise issues I'm experiencing. Vehicle is a 2021 Platinum, 5.0, 3.73 gears, with 45,000 miles. Have owned it for a few weeks, what a great truck!!!

When using 'normal' cruise I get the chime and a pop-up in the dash saying Adaptive Cruise Control Predictive Speed Assist no available. This ONLY occurs in the afternoon, when I drive to work in the morning all is well. Use the cruise in the afternoon on the way home and i get this notification every time. Another part of the oddity; the truck radar icon in the lower right of the dash cluster looks normal, the icon changes as I adjust the following distance, and the truck adjusts the distance accordingly.

Just a bit unnerving thinking I'm trusting it won't rear-end someone after it tells me it's not working, even though it apparently is working. Most perplexing......

How Does Predictive Speed Assist Work

Predictive Speed Assist works with adaptive cruise control and adjusts the vehicle speed to the road geometry and to the speed limit detected by the speed sign recognition system. As the system identifies curves and highway exits, the vehicle speed temporarily decreases ahead of and during the changing road geometry. When passing new speed signs, the set speed updates. See Predictive Speed Assist Precautions.
There are limitations that affect the accuracy of the speed sign recognition system and its ability to determine the current speed limit. Predictive speed assist and its ability to determine the current speed limit shares these limitations. See Speed Sign Recognition.
Note: The adaptive cruise control gap setting operates normally when the feature is enabled.

Short answer NO, I live in the greater Seattle area LOL. It has been a mixture of rain and sun this past week, same results.

Thank you for the response. I am driving the same road each morning and afternoon, just different directions. I also believe I have the speed limit sign recognition turned off.

Is this the message you're getting? This has just started appearing on my truck. First off, I don't even have predictive speed assist. It seems this message pops up when I activate cruise control. I think this is somehow related to speed sign recognition. If I turn SSR off I don't get the message. I've also noticed that sometimes the recognized speed limit is wrong. Other than this message my ACC and BlueCruise have been working. I'm stumped. This is something for the stealership to show their ignorance over.

I get this every time I use cruise on a non BC road. I have a 2024 that I picked up last week. It’s so fing annoying. Dealership “can’t recreate” the problem.

Yes that's the message I'm getting. The oddity is it works just fine going west on the road in the morning, but doesn't work going east in my way home.

Whenever I've gotten an error message I try to videotape it for the service advisor in case they are unable to recreate.

Predictive speed assist and adaptive cruise control are not the same thing. If your radar icon is okay and it is keeping distance properly no need to be concerned about the adaptive cruise control portion of the ADAS. As for the pop-up, it would appear to indicate the truck won't automatically slow down for curves, which standard ACC doesnt do. I suspect it's related to an underlying blue cruise maps issue.

My truck is going in for a blue cruise update in a few weeks. Maybe that will resolve the error message. For the record, the ACC seems to work just fine. It keeps proper distance, of which I can still adjust the distance between vehicles.

If I read your post correctly, the truck would slow down around curves if a slower speed was suggested? Is that the part that may be inoperative?

Anyone have any luck with this? After 10+ dealer visits, IPMA replaced twice, software updates of all modules, it still happens and drives me crazy and the dealership cannot fix it.

So, if you don't mind turning the function off at all times, the APIM can disable it according to the FORScan spreadsheet. There may be more to it in the IPMA and IPC, but if someone has FORScan, I can work through it with someone over there and if successful let the rest of you know how to disable it.

Correct; or not able to perform properly due to the camera not seeing well enough in the conditions or inbuilt navigation maps not up to date with speed information.
