Sorry, not supported for HD radio. It will work for satellite radio.

that's too bad, this is the first vehicle I have had in recent years that does not support HD radio album art ?

I believe they have the same hardware, but they may have different software versions. If so, FDK would be the older version and FEK would be the newer version.
Correction to this. Had some time to do some additional research today and I now believe the FDK was used in the 8 speaker B&O where the FEK was used in the 18 speaker B&O. The FEK has a bunch of additional values in the ACM that the FDK does not have.

As best I can tell, anytime the ACM sees an open circuit for the A2B connection, it will default to sending the chimes to the IPC. Since we don't have anything to connect this to, that will always be the case with any of these units. Did anyone add a B&O ACM to a non-B&O truck and either not have this issue, or figure out a workaround for it?
Had some free time today so I decided to play around in Forscan for a bit. I was quite suprised to see no DTC's related to the ACM when I initially connected. I'm not sure what happened, but they are no longer there. Haven't had a chance to try as of yet, but I'm hoping that this restores the rear BLIS and parking sensors back to their original volume.

thanks for finding that out. I guess I should look for the FDK since I have the non B&O system.
I'm non sure it makes a difference, but I can confirm that the FDK works apart from the significantly muted rear parking sensor and BLIS chimes. I haven't had a chance to confirm if that has been resolved after the DTC's disappeared, but I will report back once I find out.

@Livnitup My SiriusXM has recently stopped working. After selecting SiriusXM, I get a message of "Sirius loading" until "Hardware Problem" finally shows up. I checked the DTC codes and have U1A00:87-0B Private Communication Network under the APIM. Tried clearing multiple times along with master resetting, no help. I swapped in another ACM and got the same message so I don't think the issue is there.

It seemed to have happened after the latest update on Nov. 22 SYNC-24.2.1.6.1. No idea if its related. Any ideas where to start? Any clue on what that DTC is?

@Livnitup My SiriusXM has recently stopped working. After selecting SiriusXM, I get a message of "Sirius loading" until "Hardware Problem" finally shows up. I checked the DTC codes and have U1A00:87-0B Private Communication Network under the APIM. Tried clearing multiple times along with master resetting, no help. I swapped in another ACM and got the same message so I don't think the issue is there.

One of the things this DTC lists is an expired subscripton but if that's not the case then I'd go to Sirius' website have it send a refresh signal here and see if anything happens. That DTC lists all of these for possible causes so if the refresh doesn't work then lmk and you can go through the service manual steps


Possible Causes

  • Expired subscription
  • Vehicle Connectivity or the SiriusXM™ with 360L setting disabled
  • Compass concern
  • Ethernet cable concern
  • Cellular data input concern
  • Obstructions in the antenna line of sight
  • Incorrectly matched ESN
  • Wiring, terminals, or connectors
  • Lower satellite radio antenna cable (includes GPS splitter)
  • GPS /satellite radio antenna
  • ACM
  • APIM

Edit: you can find your ESN under settings, general, about sync

Ran the self-test and got code U1A00:94 on the first test then U1A00:87 on subsequent tests. Any idea what the U1A00:94 is referring to?

No, that DTC doesn't even show anywhere in workshop manual

Vehicle Connectivity is on. There is no option for Sirius there but Sirius does show up under Sources... just get "Hardware Problem" after several seconds of SiriusXM loading.

Question... I added SiriusXM/HD radio with another ACM I installed. All was working great until the last update on 11/22. Don't know if that has anything to do with it though, maybe coincident. I replaced with another ACM after this issue started but nothing changed. Went through the diag process you posted and all is good. Verified with Sirius of the ACM ESN and my VIN are linked. Will Ford replace the APIM if that is indeed the issue under warranty?
