Just visited mine at the dealership. Fresh off the truck and pretty dusty, so no pics I'd want to share. They're gonna clean her up and have her ready for me tomorrow afternoon hopefully. Drove her a few miles just to make sure nothing is falling off it. The fake engine noise at low speed is going to take a little getting used to. I didn't realize it was on if the engine was running or not.

Congratulations, CBaka! I hope it's worth the wait, and may you enjoy your truck for many years to come (or at least until you purchase your 2027 Tesla-Ford Hovertruck)

Check out pricing at Zeigler Ford as well. It beats Flood Ford for me. Use the coupon code "PAYINFULL" to get the best deal.

With a $200 deductible I'm at $1640 for 8/100k. Add the coupon code and I'm at $1390 for 8/100k.
Maintenance plans are discounted with "MPAYINFULL" as well. Knocks $200 off.

Had some time with it this weekend before it had to go back to the dealer for level and tires. Love all the tech in it. Going to get a Flood Ford ESP plan for sure. One of the things I wanted to say, that I haven’t seen anyone mention, is how great the standard 302a radio sounds. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of subs, replacing stock speakers and all that, but this sounds good enough to make me think I can live with it for a while. Up next are Tremor running boards, a Tyger soft tri-fold until I settle on a painted fiberglass tonneau and a bedrug. Still checking the thread daily to see everyone’s updates and delivery pictures. Great group here!

Glad to see most of you guys have gotten your trucks and I feel for the few of you that are still waiting. The truck that I ordered looks like it will probably arrive at the dealership soon, as its waiting to be transported by truck from about 20 miles away. Leaving for the vacation in the morning that I needed to have my truck for. In hindsight, if I'd have waited, I probably could have delayed the trip a few days, but no way of knowing that then, and doesn't matter now.

Side note, I unplugged my artificial noise maker a couple days ago and it made me unbelievably happy not hear all of that anymore. I know there are plenty of arguments for it, and it has a purpose, etc, but I couldn't take it anymore. After I put 4-5k miles on during this trip over the next couple of weeks, it'll be getting leveled and either my noisy KO2's or probably somewhat noisy Open Country A/T III will be installed, so it won't be quite so quiet anymore. For the time being, I'll enjoy the good quiet ride, and the pretty darn good fuel economy.

Is this connector easy to find? Any codes or warnings since you disconnected? Planning to leave mine connected and see if I get used to it, but good to have a backup plan.

It’s easy to find, but a little tricky to unplug. It’s located on the driver side tucked up behind the air dam. There is a warning at startup that just requires a quick tap of the “ok” button. There’s a thread about this and how to bypass the speaker cleanly without touching the factory wiring, and keep it easily reversible, which is what I plan to do when I get a chance.

Do you have any concerns about liablity not having the back up sound?

More good news almost all-around! CBaka27 and Motosapien take delivery and leave the list, joining the Ranks of the Annointed in GotTheTruck Land!

It's no longer someday for Someday, as he has a pickup date (today, we hope!) and Littlefield does too (tomorrow, he reports!)

Finally, it looks like one of our resident Canadians, Josh35, has FINALLY left Limbo with a truck that's built and awaiting shipment. Pixie and myself are the last residents of that grey and dismal land (Limbo, not Canada) as we begin our 84 Days of Penance for having the temerity to order a truck with hard-to-find parts. The question is... WHICH parts? I didn't order any hood-mounted rocket launchers, did you, Pixie?

Good question, but not particularly. Cameras, sensors, stop aids, and always quadruple checking everything is sufficient IMO. The electric motor is always making sounds as well. These things aren’t dead silent by any means.

Completely personal preference on my part, I might add. Not advocating for anybody else to pull the plug.
